The last thing a possible GC3 needs is any of what is described in the OP.
This does, however, remind me of one thing I've often wished for in GalCiv II - the ability to mod the mega-events.
And the Super Abilities.
Anyway with that caveat emptor and the knowledge that there has *always* existed at least some minimal form of score "milking", I would say the closest thing that existed to a "straight up suicidal game" were the 300K games played by both Magnumaniac and Syrrus K. Interestingly enough I don't think Purge ever got much more than 500K using his "peace for planets" strategy nor do I think he ever achieved much more than 100K without using it

Now that I've limited my current game to two warships, leveling is becoming more important though.
Problem is, the types of games we used to play Motti, we never we really in any battles. I mean you could play and win without firing anything but 1 shot on the final planet, so getting ships to level up was a foreign concept....

I recall a bug once with building the shrinkers, that if you cued up your shrinker and then gifted that planted to a minor, the shrinker would still be in your build cue since it hadn't completed, and of course the minor doesn't destroy it, so..voila 8 more shrinkers. Pretty sure that was patched out though....

I don't recall what might be the highest ever, its been 6 years of playing this game, but in my most recent game, just completed two days ago i had a lvl 19 ship, and every other ship of the same class was over lvl 10. Reply 1 of this thread . :)

And yes i think every AI had a shrinker, so 10 in all, perhaps 9, i don't recall the Arceans having one, i did hit them very early. I make sure to trade the req'd min tech to the AI as soon as i get it, since the extra bonus in the hands of the AI, is no threat, but the bonus or you when you get it is all cheese!!! As f

All Good Brad, especially if the new SDC is out before Rebellion! Though the issue of box art won't go away... Wow...you really do love to troll Brad anytime he speaks highly of his own company! i recall a thread from a year or two ago where you did the same thing. If you think so little of Stardock, why are you here? You professed that opinions matter in the other thread, when talking about how GC2 should not have been in the top 100 list, so how about you listen to some of that advice and realize, that other people may well consider Stardock to be on the same level or above even, th
