This thread is a great example of why we don't allow for tactical control of units. Because someone would have made a unit within infinite kiting ability and we'd be spending development resources endlessly dealing with that rather than focusing on making the overall game better. If you want tactical battles, find another game. We will NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER have tactical battles in GalCiv. It's all about what you bring with you an

Political boundaries and exclusive economic zones should be definable either by treaty with other civilizations or by United Planets resolutions. They should not expand with cultural borders, which represent only the spread of culture, not politics. Violation of EEZs would be legitimate cause to remove or occupy the offending starbases, while violation of political borders would create a diplomatic penalty and could cause war. The Open Borders treaty would nullify the diplomatic
Reminder: your areas of influence are NOT political boundaries Even though aliens and humans act like it is. Between human players and AI players complaining about trespassing I am glad we made it a United Plantes proposal (what you want is one of the UP proposals in game). Well, that's an answer which describes how the game works now, not a proposition of a solution to the problem that was precisely described by the original poster of t
They should just make it if any ship enters you borders (without an open borders treaty) the AI must declare war similar to how the Civilization games are. I totally agree. With this suggestion, it could mitigate the "forced rush" feeling of the game and add a strategic layer. But i don't see this coming at all. The "borders" seems to have no effect in the game (beside flipping planets). In fact, i'm not even sure th
How is this all going to get completed in 3 weeks?!?!? Well, this probably will not. It was never fixed in Galciv 2 after all.
Thanks CommanderGizmo. I will try this (and a reinstallation) and will see if it works ;).
Some people on internet (or anywhere) should definitely learn something about politeness. Even when i don't agree with a behavior, i try to express it in the proper maner and with a minimum of emendation. If i fail, i fail to respect myself and fail to defend my point of view. A clear and legitimate opinion never nead insults or calling names to appear for what it is. It just needs facts and arguments. Passion too, but you don't have to call names to express passion. Or that means your
Yeah, but i think this is a bug, or an installation problem. It reminds me the beta when no custom race was allowed. Perhaps there is an option somewhere to choose, or something to do, i don't know.
I cannot create custom races too (the button doesn't even show) nor can i create custom opponent. I'm rather frustrated :p. Could we have any insight on this problem? Thanks
Hello, I finished to donwload and install Twilight of the Arnor today, after a fresh uninstall of the beta. But i cannot create any custom races or opponent. There simply is no option to do it and i don't understand what i could do. Is this a bug? Or something so obvious i missed it? I would appreciate any help, i'm very impatient to test all the new stuff with MY empire :D. Thanks
