Hi, I wanted to know if the scenario you played there (with the Dread Lords in the middle) is new to Dark Avatars or if it is available in Dread Lords as well? I tried playing Struggle but I didn't see Dread Lords (didn't play all the way through since I figured if they weren't in the center, they weren't in the game at all). I also tried the scenario with the Dread Lords, however, the Dread Lords don't have their own planet and the game ends when you kill all the Dread Lords. Thanks.

I built a troop transport with 4 advanced troop modules on it. When I launch it from orbit with all 4000 troops my planet losses 4 billion people (:( . Is this a bug or is that how it is suppose to be (the troop module says 1000 troops not 1 billion...).

Hmm so this is only for early sales? Not for recent ones? Because when I went to the download section it asks for two serial numbers, regular one and collector's edition one....

Hi everyone, I have several questions: First: What are the differences between the Collector's Edition and the Regular version of GalCiv2? How many new hulls and how much extra jewellery is there? Do most of the people that are modding use these extra hulls? Second: Which one did you guys buy? Third: My local Best Buy and Future Shop only have the regular version. Is there a way for me to purchase the extra stuff that comes with the Collector's Edition separately

O___O... those are amazing. Could you please, please, please add them without any weapons/engines/modules? That way we can customize them to our needs and not have to research all the techs that you have one them? But wow, amazing work!

Hi CariElf, The OS does have a memory manager but it depends on the OS how much it actually does. Brad is continually lamenting the lack of automatic garbage collection in Windows. Java actually has its own garbage collector, but Java is still too slow for games like GalCiv2. Well, I skimmed through some of my lectures from the Op

I don't mean to jump into this little flamewar but I would like to point out some things to os2wiz. I'm not entirely sure if os2wiz is a developer or not but as a developer myself, I know exactly how Stardock employees feel. When you develop a piece of software you can test only so much. There will _always_ be bugs, _always_. It seems to me that Stardock has done a lot of testing and on multiple machines before they had released anything. Ho

2) Memory fragmentation: At the risk of getting way too technical, is there any particular reason you're not building the game with a non-default heap manager (e.g. SmartHeap)? It may take some work to plug in, depending on how you've done your existing memory management, but you shouldn't have to reinvent the wheel to address this. You may even be able to use the memory a
