Sounds very very nice and I hope it will work out well.
Can you click to produce a unit in a city without the proper resources in store, and then have to wait while some caravans come to drop the resources off, or will you have to tell the caravans manually to stop by that city before you can start producing? The former would be great, as long as there were some estimates on how long it's going to take even before you click. It would remove some unneccesary micro-management.[/q
The spells are going to be intentionally de-balancing in late game. I.e. by late game, you'll be able to do Populous level damage to the world. There's instant-resolve (i.e. two armies meet, one dies), there's auto-resolve where the game zooms in and shows a tactical battle but it's all handled by the AI (al

I love the artstyle. I'm sick of all those other games which don't have an artstyle at all (being photorealistic isn't really an artstyle imho). If you look at the screenshots of newer games, they all look the same to me. So give my comic style, brillant color style or thick edges as used here. And imho the screenshot of the battle between the dragon and the soldier looks awesome, so congrats to the arty gals and guys.
I'm a big fan of PI - it is my second favorite company behind SD. I vaguely remember the email about M2 but literally forgot about it since I have not heard anything at all. So I figured the project was cancelled. Speaking of which, one of my dreams as a gamer is for SD and PI to merge.
No, please no. While I like some of the games they'd made (haven't got one of their newers) the

I very much understand wanting to take battles away from the simplicity of "bigger number wins," but this just makes it that much harder to effectively wage a war. A battle-heavy turn can involve 5-10 separate groups of units attacking. Having to micro-manage these (and I refuse to trust any automation to properly handle the battle, since they are nev

What I meant was that the screenshot I've posted looks very nice and since fluff is always good for anouncements, you should have included that one. Did I understand correctly that other races have other tech trees and units? I'd imagine that it's easy to research the entire tree on a bigger map. This makes me suspect that a bigger map with slower play is not what this game is designed to do well. Besides the stupid DRM stuff, I won't buy because of its design. RA was fun, RA2 was almost too campy for my taste and RA3 looks absolutely ridicolous (and not in a good way). T&A for the win seems to be their slogan, no thanks. And I didn't liked C&C3 fast paced micro gameplay anyway (and its sucky story neither).
There is no pause to give orders, it's all real time in that respect but the speed fleets move and the fact you don't actually need to micro them when in combat if you don't mind being 100% efficient in battle means nothing feels like you are being too slow. Letting AI fight your battles probably means you are at 80% efficiency vs another AI. Vs another player not microing is probably death but you and I don't care for that.
Sins is worth its money. That said: The AI isn't bad (it tries to attack on a different frontline if it can't get through at one for example), though not as good as the GalCiv2 AI (which is the best AI in a strategy atm. anyway). The UI and control of units is about as good as it gets. Atmosphere and graphics are imho very good. The three races are different enough to ensure a different experience with each of them. But, as others have said, it is somehow lacking in the long t
