I only just changed TO Norton Oh well, I'm just happy everything's working again. Now if you excuse me, I'm going off to play my game...

Unless you're talking about the minimap, in which case you need to research stellar cartography. Or areas you haven't explored yet.
OK, it's all fixed now, with a little help from the Norton support website. It seems that one or more of their .dll files were deleted, I can only guess during the demo uninstall. Though of course it could have been something else entirely. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen again...

OK, well I'd like to make a partial appology. After leaving the computer to its own devices for a while, it managed to sort itself out. I also get an error message from my antivirus (Norton). While it may all be a problem with Norton, it still seems a rather large coincidence that this happened immediately after getting Gal Civ II. Is it possible that the uninstall/install process messed up Norton somehow? I'll transfer
I can't. As mentioned above, my computer no longer works. (This is a different computer I'm using now.) The wierd thing is that it hasn't QUITE frozen. The mouse still moves, though very jerkily. I managed to get task manager up, and it says that the CPU is running at 100%, so that's the problem, the question is what's causing it. The desktop icons never appear, and the start menu won't open (though I can see the bar itself).

OK, so I've bought the game, and installed it today. Everything was fine at first, but when I started the computer up again, windows just freezes. There's no way to confirm it's because of Gal Civ of course, but I didn't really do anything else. Apart from installing Stardock Central, in which case... I've got a problem with Stardock central. All I did was uninstall the demo, install the game, then download and install Stardock ce
Perhaps if there was a counter-espionage slider, so that you could spend money reducing the amount that the others knew about you... Surely that wouldn't be hard to implement?
You could try counteracting with your own influence starbases? Or embasies on your planets? Or buying their own starbases off them? Or next time you declare war on them, don't stop at just destroying their starbases... Blow their puny empire into oblivion! That'll teach them.
Glad to know I'm not the only one... So is there no fix for this then?
Here's a screenshot of the problem If I move the screen up a bit, the clear sector with Xasica in gets fogged out again. It's very disorientating when scrolling around, and can make it hard to work out what parts of space I can or can't see. Edit: OK... that didn't turn out to w
Hi, I've ordered the game, but it's taking a while to come through (stupid Amazon ) Anyway, in the meantime I've downloaded the Demo and I'm messing around with that. In general it works fine, but there's a wierd bug with the Fog of War. It seems to glitch at the edges of sectors. Is this a known problem, or just my crummy hardware? It isn't a show stopper, just a bit
