Increasing the HP wont do ANYTHING. It will still get destroyed within one combat even if it had a milllion HP. since it has no weapons, it cannot destroy anything in combat, but combat only ends when something is destroyed. Which will be always the terrorstar if left alone. No matter how much combat rounds it will take. You just dont see the rounds since it wont be shown in a fleet vs single ship combat(but you could switch that on). If you want to keep the enemy from destroying your Terror
Agreed. But it didn't stop BioShock from being enormously successful.
There are succesfull single player games. But RTS Players expect RTS games to have multiplayer or just ignore it. So in this case, it will correlate in higher sales, because the question "is there multiplayer?" is easier to answer to(yes/no) than "how deep is the singleplayer mode?" (pure perception). Also getting more depth in a game requires the whole game concept to be reworked(which can

Problem is, a lot of players wont even buy the game if it does not have multiplayer. Even if they wont be playing online that much.
I personally don't care about online multiplayer at all, as long as my friends and I can play together on LAN or similar.
You would still need a multiplayer feature to play on LAN. Funny enough. On the Galciv2 Forum (far more)people are demanding multiplayer, and you are demanding a singleplayer only game? If y

The Progenitor's is simply more powerful when the is less dps in a battle. On level 3 it may heal almost as much as your 2 low level sovas may do. If there would be a larger fleet on both sides, the heal would be so much less significant if focus fired. Also, giving a match up that is realy realy rare in the game cause there are fleets, will not prova any imbalance. Also you completely ignored that there are differences in economy. Waiting for your economy to grow will cause some big troubles with the dreadlords. Believe me. i tried it. ok it worked but it took ages and wasnt funny. I can only advise you to try again and aim for the right planet. (happened to me too)

Looks like you had a beta version before updating ToA. As Frogboy postet somewhere, you should delete any beta Version before downloading the final version. May cause some issues. And btw. you can change your tax rates...

My Comp is only half as good as yours and i almost never experience such low fps. Maybe try to update your sounddriver or cheack if any other apllications are running.
My (limited) experience with the Yor suggests that the colony rush is incredibly vital for them. They *HAVE* to grab lots of planets so that their horrible economy can have enough population to get out of the red. Most of them aren't very productive - just recruiting center, efficiency center, and charging stalks - so they need to have tons of the things. They don't get the luxury of super fast breeding either, I'm tempted to mod them to have the super breeder super ability, it would help

I play on large maps with 7 opponents. So its relative crowded to your games. All the normal worlds will be colonized very soon even in TA. But you are certainly not in a desparate rush for colonies. If you got less colonies you can probably start your first invasion a bit earlier with less maintaince to pay.
Closed borders. I would like a system to be put in place wherein you can kill ships that enter your territory without starting a war until you open borders with a race. You still take a PR hit for doing so, however, you cannot trade with any race you have not opened borders with. If you cannot police your space effectively, you still can't keep other races out but it is a little silly that you can have a massive spanning empire and nobody thinks a thing of it when another race colonizes t

1. High Prirority: Fix Auto designer. not only does it use more components than possible, it uses engines too rarely and if it does, it uses outdated ones. Also it should not use sensor modules for battleships. (also fix mcc, thalan stabase ect...) 2. Reduce the cost of spy somehow. either depending by map size or over time. (limit the spy mega event?) Having the squelch 28 spies with 28 spies for more than a trillion credits each is no fun or "realistic". 3. Well yes n
The only thing I was using the social for at the time was getting the recruiting centers of the ground other wise I am only using mil. to get colonizers/constructors out and research. Once enough planets are building social then I adjusst the sliders for that, but during colony rush I initially just want research and mil. for a good while. It may not be the most efficient way to get up to speed , but it has worked pretty well for me so far. And the focus to social is only for five turns p

I dont complain to K Mart because I have to pay for shoes, or the supermarket because I have to pay for my 3 bottles of cola and 20 packets of 2 minute noodles....... why should stardock and its software ect, be any different? its not, they need to get a grip imo.
People can get used to anything, including not needing to pay for certain servi

All budgets are limited. And making people to pay for something (twice) they already got isnt going to win a popularity award for you. Since the linked thread was about more or less "optional" content. People never rant about software they have to buy to get it at all. If they never got it they would never visit its forums to do so.
Surely, you don't mean that, Lord Kiron. The autodesigned ships are all horribly slow, thus making them in effect useless (at least to my playing style)
The designer will put (one?) engines on them, but only if this wont make them weaker then the previous design. So its a bit tricky to get faster ships from it. A feature do determine the how much defense and engines the designer should put into one ship is needed. also there should be a "reset" button to delete p
If your relationship with a game is 'hurting' you or not, perhaps it's time to go to the computer game addiction rehab clinic. It's just a game, people. It's completely unimportant, ephemeral fun. Remember that.
Maybe "hurt" is not the right word, but draginol used it in the topic. But having less fun with any hobby is not something which i like. Especially after having paid for it. My point is, for pay content may lessen your fun with the original produ
