So suspending all democratic activities for the duration of the emergency sounds like a fine idea (in game, in real life I'd freak.) It's not that it's in-game that makes it sound good, it's the fact that you become supreme leader that makes it sound good Well you're right about that. Being on the other side of the equation certainly changes one's pers

The Emperor will NOT be pleased... am I the ONLY staunch supporter of Democracy on this forum??? Well, outside the game I do support democracy in all its dysfunctional glory. However, when I'm trying to run the war I really don't like being told what to do by a bunch of "representatives of the people." So suspending all democratic activities for the duration of the emergency sounds like a fin
Of course, the Sovereign and Eclipse Super Star Destroyer were even better in SW: Warlords. Both had a miniaturized Deathstar super-laser mounted on a SSD. Nothing like watching those pathetic Rebel ships vaporize in one shot. Yeah the Eclipse Super Star Destroyer made a bri
No, that dreadnought is worth any three of ours! *plows thru frosts dreadnaught* well wasn't that fun. No! You sank my dreadnought! The Emperor will NOT be pleased... Perhaps an extended vacation is in order till he calms down. Hey Frost. If EvilleJedi is able to mesh his StarWars Warlords mod into this game with relative ease, you
The single thing I'd like to see the most would be the ability to further differentiate capital ships. What I'd really like is to be able to make MY flagship, and pour ridiculous amounts of resources into making it something an Empire could be proud of. Not really having different models (though I'd love that) but trainings it's crew and upgrading it to the point where it's presence alone can really affect the course of a battle. Naming it and marking it distinctively would be
@ Moosetek13 I wonder what you'd think about people who put what are basically small refrigerators in their pcs? WWW Link Talk about crazy cooling.
Generally when trying to get rid of fog of war between my planets I do as Mumblefratz does and set pickets. These are simply cargo ships full to the brim with sensors. It does get very expensive though, especially when they are destroyed early on so it pays to keep them closer in. Another aproach is to build a starbase, say an economy starbase, next to the planet and upgrade its sensor all the way.
Hello, I have a question about the random encounter you sometimes get when colonizing a planet. The random encounter I am interested in is as follows: You are contacted by a pirate leader about starship bonuses and you have the usuall choice between good, neutral, and evil. The questions I have are: 1. What exactly is the bonus you get. 2. Is it limited to just the starships built on that planet. Thanks for your time.
Can't wait, looks like it will be a refreshing change!
Thanks for your answers, that helps alot. I'll be more careful with which wonders or trade goods I grab. Or maybe I'll just buy the trade goods. Again thanks for your time
I had a question, after you build a galactic wonder, do you need to keep the structure? I notice you can trade the wonder's abilities to others so I was wondering whether I really had to give up all that space to wonders. Thanks for your time

I too have been encountering this problem... Even with the percentage for military set to 0 the shipyard still builds ships non-stop. Clicking on nothing doesn't work either, it simply goes back to what it was before. when I tried to purchase the nothing selection it
I was playing a conquest game on tough today, and I must say this is one of a few occasions an AI has surprised me with its intelligence. I had one fleet in my solar system which I was using to stop his troop transports (they were escorted too by the way!) and he wasn't getting anywhere. So the sneaky devil made two fleets... And attacked from opposite directions simultaneously! I could only stop one and the other fleet trashed my starbases before I caught up with it.<
Dread Lords Parade Gigantic Tough Terran Alliance Latest Beta The problem is my shipyard won't let me stop production of ships! I cannot stop production by the two methods I know of: Placing the Military Allocation Slider at 0% Selecting Nothing from the build menu Neither stops the shipyard from producing, which is annoying when I wan't to stop building them...
Downloaded it last night, and then it crashed again this morning. With the new beta and the larger pagefile size. Maybe its a driver? Heres the report from this morning... Now you have me confused too...
Increased Pagefile size to 4gb, leaving one left over so windows stays happy. I'll try this out. Thanks for your help.
I've tried upping the pagefile size, windows for somereason doesn't accept the numbers I input. It crashed again a few minutes ago: Debug Message: Version v1.1 BETA-3A last updated on: Mon Apr 10 17:03:06 2006 Debug Message: Could not find a TGN Serial No. Debug Message: *********DXDiag info follows.********* System Info Time: 4/13/2006, 12:09:50 DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
The game has done this twice today, crashing or quiting. This time was at the end of a battle with a pirate fleet in a very big and long Dread Lords Parade game. Was kind of upset, my frigate had just anihalated the entire pirate fleet... Oh well. If this is in the wrong area my apologies. Any help would be appreciated.
