I think the morale penalty for being at war with a species should wear off 50 to 100 turns after you finish conquering them. I defeated a civ about 200 turns ago and their citizens are still mad.
Actually, this gives me an idea, wouldn't it be neat if different species kept their conquered moral penalty for different lengths of time? My head cannon for them never
Possible solution - An order for colonizers: " Colonize Closest Planet " and/or " Colonize Highest Quality Planet " could replace "Explore" (See below). Barring this, creating some sort of colonizing management system in the interface that would allow you to select the planet that the colonizer will go to upon being created.
My two cents, I want to vote against this as a solution.

I just wanted to chime in that I too experienced this just yesterday (I'm on the "normal" alpha branch not the test branch, fyi) I started around 25 new games, all galaxy settings at default but with only 6 opponents selected. At no point did I ever get a starting sector with fewer than 2 opponents. (the one thing I was changing is I used the new version of GC3's "Knowledgeable" trait so I could immediately see where the other civs were) occasionally I got a sector with three and in o

I Like this idea a lot, best of both worlds. combines the frequency of DLC drops AND the more reasonably priced / cohesive organization of expansions. Seasons make it easier for people who buy the game down the line as well, because it's self-organizing and discretely 'packaged' for them.

I feel like the various crews of those ships might not be as willing as you are to give up their hyperdrives and thus be stranded on earth. Though suggesting that to her could be an opportunity for some amusing dialogue. "Yeah... we asked them, the Menkmack wanted us to trade them the moon for it. We thought he was kidding. He was not."

Quick question I couldn't find an answer for about custom faction creation. Is there a way in the game files to add (or modify existing) color themes to select when making a custom faction? (for the map, UI, ships, etc) If so, where should I be looking because I scoured the files and couldn't find anything. If not is th

I can't tell you how much I wish this push for mod-ability had happened two years ago, right before I started going to school for 3d modeling / animation, since a primary reason was I wanted to be able to make art assets for games :) not that I'm not enjoying the subject, its just, I would have been really really excited for this two years ago, but now that I'm intimately familiar with maya and 3ds max, I'm only pretty excited about this. :D Looking forw

I'm very much looking forward to this, I just love what you guys do so much. I follow stardock's games and betas much more closely than any of the other games I keep up on, and I try to constantly talk stardock's stuff up to anyone I think might be even a little interested. Especially WoM and FE. I've got a few friends who play the Civ games still. I just tell them, "Fallen Enchantress is a Civ game for the type of person who would have gladly taken a class about '

yes it has been my experience that to make a land bridge, you need to raise up the square you'd like to walk on and every square on either side all the way across. I'd recommend having a team of casters for this :D creating usable shoreline is similar except you want to raise a water tile adjacent to a cliff, then raise the tiles along the cliff to either side of the first tile. also, you need to have your city close enough to the shore to build on it, remember harbors are improvement

I too would love to see some kind of option to order / plead (depending on your relations) that other civilizations get out of your territory. The fella who was talking about improving the diplomacy system also raises a fair point, I'd love being able to interact with civilizations in a manner other than the quid pro quo arrangements you come to in the game now.

You know its funny you should say that, cause the bonus i'm losing is infact a 700+. Gotta be honest with you though, seems like a silly thing to do, making them unremovable and all, make it a game setting sure that I could see, but why do it like this?

Is the manufacturing capital's inability to be removed or upgraded intentional? The reason I ask is: I foolishly placed one on a manufacturing bonus, but since I can't remove or change the manufacturing capital, I can't take advantage of the bonus at all.

I'll just drop in here right quick and say I too would love a multiplayer expansion. I'm a huge fan of single player games but in the last couple of years lan play has kept alot of games alive for me, I absolutely love this game regardless, but I'd just love for this game to join Frozen Throne and Zero Hour in me and my friends' weekly lan party.
