Not so fast. My computer's messed up currently and i have to call support.. something to be done. I like the idea to have a modyard but i'm not currently playing GC at all, or anything on this computer. I'm not sure we should start the work yet.. But then if we don't start, we never get to do anything. *sigh*

Uh? Gotta check the editors... you see i got an idea how to implement the mass relays. All we need is a star base which AOE is 1 square around it and the SB would give 25movement points for ships that are on a square next the starbase, next turn ofc.

Certainly. We'll make new tech trees for each race. Because all tech is based on mass effect, the tech trees will be similar though. Differences are easy to see in specific areas, IE salarians will have good espionage, turians have good military and asari have biotic techs (what they do? no idea yet). Bloodshield, you're in, but don't be surprised if the real work doesn't start yet.

Hmm i think Earth doesn't have different currencies anymore in 2227... as Earth has united etc. In game that is. So comparing credits to dollars, euros, etc. seems a bit pointless. And the prices aren't realistic anywya.

The improper shutdown (dunno really the right words here... i understand english very well but writing and speaking...), i meant that i just keep the power button pressed till the laptop shuts down. Usually this has happened when i first try to restart or shut down Windows... i lose my patience with Vista's long shut down process or that and press power button. I'm pretty sure it has crashed few times during shut down process... I know better than to take of the battery while the computer's used

The laptop certainly doesn't overheat... and no strange noises. Motherboard problem? Craaap... The laptop was bought few months ago, warranty was 2 years i think. I'll back up stuff and call support... and probably have to wait a couple months till the laptop comes back from support right? Thanks for help anyway. BTW did i mention that this has been problem only for few weeks, some 4-6 weeks i think. ... No i didn't mention, but that probably doesn't matte

I thought i said that the HD is clean of viruses etc. Registry is fine too, no problems there. And the "corrupted" installers stated that storage device, I.E. the hard drive in this case, might be damaged. So... that's why i'm worrying it might be hardware problem. Another possibility is that this laptop has heat problems with HD but i don't get any shutdowns or crashes even when playing something graphics intensive so this isn't very propable.

I have actually two problems... and a feeling that they're connected. First is that Spore trial installer (as i said in other thread, though i've now given up with it) and a couple of other installers complaing about non-matching files or something like that and that storage device I.E. my laptop's hard drive might be damaged and this is what worries me. Also some zip, 7zip, rar etc. files have corrupted files (appear either as gibberish or the unzip program thinks they're encryp

It is possible to make a new model for terror star using in game ship editor... then changing the TS model to the new one by editing the files... dunno details. I think this is the custom graphics... I think some sticky modding guide has the details.

Yeah there's enough material... and minors are easy enough (i've got a plan(t)). Pretty good pics. If we people have interest making this mod, please say here and we'll form a mod team to I-Mod. I'll list interested on OP ok? BTW I don't have access to the internet on weekend so i can't post here so things will have to wait. And anyway i'm play pretty much WoW now no need to wonder if i don't post... i'll try to keep watch at least.

This is an outrage... i contacted EA support.. no reply.. until today... The frigging reply was just a question wether i'd like to participate customer service survey. I cannot believe this... Hate EA and i curse them because they own such great games like C&C series and Bioware's Mass Effect. It seems that i'm not going to buy Spore.

Ty but i tried the first link and DL the program. Run installation... dang, same error message as in Spore trial..... So if the problems are caused by registry, i'm in deep shit here if i can't even run repair program's installation EDIT other one worked, a trial version, let's hope it fixes stuff.. I dunno any registry fixers. As Spore Trial, is there truly different versions for Vista and XP? There's no choice, only DL link. It's possible that some of the downloaded installers were for Vista as they started but gave error for some files and some of the installers didn't even start... just gave some sort message or didn't start at all. Oh and i can't reinstall Vista (if you mean Spore i did uninstall it but second time i tried to install didn't work) as it's OEM (right? The ve

Apparently reason's that my computer's registry is a bit damaged or something. Flash player gave error number and Adobe support page stated that the error could be due damaged registry. If one doesn't install right due registery, isn't it logical that other neither due same problem? So how do i fix possible errors in Windows Vista registry?

Duh... i contacted EA support few days ago by email (4 days?)... no answer. And the answer hasn't gone to spam file so they haven't bothered. Last trick i have is to download the file to the other computer and copy the file to my MP3(I don't have USB stick but MP3 works as one fine) and install Spore from it. When i find it. I dunno where it is, and it's pretty small after all... If that doesn't work, i dunno what i'll do. My computer's fine, only Spore CC installer doesn't work. EA

Not really.... started the game again and loaded autosave, luckily it was from last turn and pressed turn... no crash. I continued playing and no crashed that evening. I guess it was simply a random crash.
