I apologize for not reading all seven pages of the arguments but I suspect i'm getting the gist. I come to GalCiv 2 from MOO 2, and practiaclly the only MOO 2 I play is multiplayer. A few of quick thoughts. i would say that borders should be a purely diplomatic tool. basically, i want the ability to draw a line (where ever i want) and say "if you go in here i'll do X" and if someone goes there have the computer inform me (or just follow a preset set of instructions). this would add the realism of modern borders. the US ignored Iraqi borders, but canada is respectful of US borders. it would also give you more diplomatic option
