If you set the game to automatically remove functional components, and upgrade a core ship, it actually strips *all* the components, so you see a bare shell. If you set the game not to automatically remove functional components, and upgrade a core ship, you can remove the functional components one by one to get the space back, but the removed components don't actually disappear from the ship as displayed. Playing at 16:9, the main game is fine, but the title screen planet is squashed. Is it a video rather than 3D? If so, would it be possible to show the title on just a portion of the screen to fix it? Also, the options screen is a bit off 16:9 (bad line breaks).

Here are some tweaks stacks and fleets need: (1) I wish the status box looked more the same for fleets vs. ships when you click on one. For example, how many moves remaining is shown in a different location, making things confusing. (2) You can't tell how many moves are left for a ship in a stack. It's not displayed at all. (3) I wish you could move a stack so that it stayed together even if the ships have different

I second this request. I run my desktop at 800x600 but my video card (ATI 9800 Pro) has no trouble switching to 1024x768 when the game launches, just like all other games. The OSD on my monitor confirms the game is at 1024x768. Would really like to skip the annoying error message.
