Hey, Supes. Thanks for pointing out the folder icon. Since DX doesn't normally accept folders on DnD, I'll have to create a custom folder image. I did not include a taskbar because the systemtray object is still not working. I don't think I'll change anything with the toxic drip. Seeing as how the recycle bin can be moved around, it would get a little complicated trying to detect whether it was in the right position. Thanks again, for the heads up.
Change alignments to vertical & horizontal "center" and try it.
Same deal. It only works correctly when it's a child object.
Ah, damn. I could've sworn I uploaded the fixed version. The problem was that the objects weren't children of the startmenu circle. Will rectify and re-up. Thanks for the heads up, Dr.J
This is really great. I'm sure it's going to help a LOT of people in the process of creating a blind. Thanks for your efforts![e digicons]k6[/e]
Ooh! Very nice! I love it. [e digicons][/e]
Still workin' on it. Working so far: Text/font Images Margins On the fritz: Resize Delete To do: Scrolling Option to have no background Option to have no text Library of Images Bunch of other tweaks Possibilities: Central gadget body with all options and list of banners on screen (as opposed to r-clicking on each banner to get options) <img src="http://i620.photobucket.com
Try going to Properties > Relation and set z-order to always on top.

Excellent! [e digicons]:D[/e] Can't wait to see more. [e digicons][/e]
Builder Mode=Complicated and Scary....A "configure"sub menu or limited builder mode would be a welcome improvement.Just enough to set fonts, shortcuts, colors, maybe button names would put DX back in the hands of casual users.
Eureka! I second that! All the different setups, windows, tabs, dropdowns, etc, etc, can be overwhelming for a new or casual user, and rather complicated to explain. The gap between Client and Builder needs to be bridged. I started a
Hey, thanks everybody. I shall do my best to make it a monthly feature.[e digicons][/e]
Hey, zig. Cool object. Tailsgirl is right. You'll need a single image for mouse away, and then your animated image for mouse over. Be sure to check 'Interruptable' in your animation settings or the animation will continue to loop even when you mouse away. Happy DXing!
Hey, philly. Yesterday I was thinking that this banner idea would be great to use for screen annotations on screen capture recording, too. I started thinking and tinkering around and so far my concept is thus: Main Functions: -Configure -Clone -Delete Popup Configuration Menu: -Text/Font settings -Resize option -Banner Image settings -Image margins Spent a couple of minutes ti
Well, after much deliberation, I finally decided to blog...er, publish. In addition to highlighting and reviewing great DesktopX skins, "I Love DesktopX" will have tips and tricks as well as frequent rants...er, commentary. <span style="font-size: small;
BUMP Interesting, Philly. A simple DesktopX.Form could handle all the font/text options. There's a plugin for scrolling text. I'm sure a resizing option would be useful and the ability to use your own graphics. Not sure, though, how DA stored all the images in his Countdown Gadget, but this definitely sounds doable.
why doesnt this show under the galleries section?
I've noticed that, too. Sometimes it's listed in the sidebar, and then later it's gone. I've cleared my cookies, and as of this post, the link isn't there.
Thanks for your input everyone. You've all been a great help. Much appreciated. :) I'll probably upload tomorrow. The final version will not load a wall until you select the size from the list (there will be a message box instructing this on startup.) Thanks again, everybody.[e digicons]k4[/e] [e digicons][/e]
Thanks, bilbo. Will do.
I don't really use it, myself, but I've always included it. I have to say that as MS continues to upgrade the functionality of Windows, some of these options, such as taskbar, systemtray and media player, don't seem very useful other than to give those components a different look....and that's what WB is for, IMO. I doubt I'll include those components in any upcoming themes.
Xprojectd24, you should be redirected to the site filefactory.com. Once there, scroll down and click on the 'basic' download option. Enter the security code, then click on the button to download. (Yeah, I know it's a lot of hoops.)
Will there be other categories in this gallery besides General?
Nice. :) You've got a PM. PS: Your second link goes to the DX product page, not the gallery.
Hey, Quentin! Thanks. Murex, I was afraid that might happen. I'll set it to wrap text. Jim, I'll have to check out your theme. That sounds really cool!
I think I know the problem, Murex. The path to the wallpaper is still set to a location on my system. I'll have to clear it before uploading next time. Once you set your wall it shouldn't bring up the error again.
The theme itself is resolution independent, Dr. All the objects are designed to resize and reposition to fit any screen rez. 1440x900 is the same ratio as 1280x800, wouldn't that work?
