Feline, you know my e-mail address. I love to test it.

Brad, that's how some companies operate. No respect. Sooner or later it will backfire.
I am not sure whether hiding data in a binary form works. A format is a format. Making it a binary format doesn't change a thing. The format is to be read by machines. It doesn't matter that humans can read it or not. They steal intellectual property if they have not legally obtained it. That's what matters I think. [Message Edited]
Oops. Scrollbar animations do work again. Sorry about that. [Message Edited]
As far as I know animations should work. In the latest series some animations (like scroll bar animations) were broken, even on XP. Need to check them all out when I have the time. I don't run W9x, so I can tell you only what I have noticed on XP. [Message Edited]
Where was the time that work was fun, Feline? I remember that coding was fun. Must have been in far and frey past... How are your plugins progressing? /me is interested to test or help, but doesn't use a modem...
The Netherlands celebrates the birthday of Saint Nicholas on the 5th of December. The legend of Saint Nicholas is very old and very few Dutch people know its actual history. It's a very popular tradition and in recent years it's becoming more popular than ever. In many other countries we have the legend of Santa. Again many don't know its true history. It may or may not surprise you that both are actually the same figure. It seems that Dutch settlers brought the legend of Saint Nicholas to the U
Happy BD, Tiggz! {]===============
I borrowed one from my sister when my mother was ill and in hospital. And gave it back when she was better. Unfortunately she was ill a lot. So, my sister gave me my first mobile phone (pre-GSM thingie, model "brick" for my BD several years ago. ). By now I am very attached to it and have exchanged the brick for a cute tiny Nokia. My latest color cover is... Black. <img src="http://images.stardock.c
But yes, I agree. There is always a way around things.
You seem to forget that an O/S is very well able to implement this on a priviledge level which cannot be accessed by application programs. I wouldn't be surprised if this is gonna be one of them. MS is thinking along those lines for a while now. See for an example: http://madice.joeuser.com/index.asp?AID=351
Wow, Adam! That's very cool. I love the way you implemented this. Thanks.
Like a said. You people are talking about X MB a month or a day. The current limits are total.
You people are only increasing the download limits. 50MB like we have now was total. Not a day, not a month.
Remember that ODNT is a subscription already. It is not an one time investment. First year 50. Every next year 35. These people have payed a long time for the leeches. Let the leeches pay now.
100MB a month? I am visiting these shores for years. I have downloaded 158MB (mostly WB skins). No. I don't think we are talking on a month basis here.
Yes, I know paxx. I was also brain storming. I've heard Brad saying here that he didn't want ODNT subscribers to pay for all this. If that is true then I don't think ODNT users should even have that 24 hour penalty. Damn, posting goes fast in here [Message Edited]
Even a 24 hour penalty would not be acceptable, IMHO.
Paxx: That sounds good to me. Like elvee I have a problem with #3, because (as I understand it) the site has been payed largely by Stardock and that means Stardock's customers. Therefore I think it would be unfair for them to have that penalty.
What do you think companies can come up with when faced with people illegally sharing copyrighted material such as music or movies? One solution would be to encrypt the files and allow only people who have payed for it to play such files (DRM). Another would be to store a reference to a streamed and encrypted file. The latter is known as "content reference". When using files that do not contain the actual data, but just a reference to where the data is to be found one circumvents the
Hehe. That's an odd "bug".
When male students were shown pictures of pretty women, they discounted the future value of the reward in an "irrational" way - they would opt for the smaller amount of money available the next day rather than wait for a much bigger reward. Irrational? I doubt it. We Dutch have an expression: "It is better to have one bird in the hand than ten in the
Hehe. "... were intended for other people." should read "... were intended for me." ;)
