Well, if you need help you should consider to formulate your "question" and "topic" differently. There is a slim chance that people here will repond to it seriously.

Clearly a case of wanting to be u63r 733t.
/me is looking forward to that, Jafo.
Koasati: That is a very good idea. As long as it is not intended to replace something like the Experimental section. I love things like the Marathon thread and I am even spamming it with Chocolade Slagroom Vla. I don't want it to go, but as I said before politics, religion and Marathon threads hijack the message board lately. So a Skinning message board is very welcome.
The skin section has room for comments. Check those.
It's a conspiracy to drive us all mad! Let's hope not, otherwise everyone ends up being like me! I give up... [Message Edited]
Why it doesn't work in post #1 is beyond me. [Message Edited]
Even editing it here manually doesn't work. Another try. Now edited. Seems to work again. Odd. [Message Edited]
"I jumped on the bandwagon of hijacking my own thread so I started this.I noticed that the quote button does not work for me at the site but it worked when I did it in discussion on the Wincustomize Browser. This little problem too shall be solved." I am having problems using it in IE too. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. Even editing it here manually doesn't work. [Message Edited]
Well, I just asked Neil Banfield (lead programmer of WindowBlinds). He says that it should work as long as it has a bitmap below it. So taskbar buttons can use it, but the taskbar image itself cannot. Otherwise it will be blended against black. If Neils says it should work then who am I to tell it doesn't. Never seen it working, though. He also tells me that PerPixel is a switch indeed. So it can ha
Knatz you are wrong about the places in which PerPixel can be used. PerPixel is a switch. PertPixel=200 is nonsence. PerPixel=0 means off and PerPixel=1 means on. Do not confuse this with the Alpha=X setting. That is totally different. The Alpha setting works in combination with Trans=1. Typically it is used to set transparency as Trans=1 and Alpha=254. Other values of Alpha indicate uniform translucency (i.e. alpha blending).
"Here is mine, do you think that it isn't working because the image i'm trying to change is in the system tray?" Yes. Images on the taskbar, system tray and start menu do not support translucency. [Message Edited]
AFAIK translucency (per pixel alpha blending) does not work for title bar buttons.
[MenuBar] UseCustomBackground=1 Image=MotherOfPlastic\MenuButtons.tga TopHeight=9 BottomHeight=8 LeftWidth=8 RightWidth=8 Tile=1 Trans=1 PerPixel=1 The above is a sample of a section that does work. Notice the use of Trans=1 and PerPixel=1
I know that Jafo, but it would be great if skinners replied to this thread. It makes selling the idea easier to the admins.
I am trying to give it another go on a new thread. Thanks all for responding. https://www.wincustomize.com/msgboard.asp?BID=WC&id=148503#toppage
I don't want to push any ideas I have, but the HotList thread has an odd name which does not cover its contents and does not attract very much attention from the established skinners. However, new skinners seem to be pleased with it. I would therefore like to give it another go and concentrate on ideas mentioned in that thread. There is a rumor that the idea of the Experimental section (explained below) has been brought under the attention of the admins. It would be nice if we can find
TGA allows you to have an alpha channel. So you can do per pixel alpha blending. Black is just a color. It does not do anything special.
Hehe. I am looking forward to it. ;^) There is a rumor that the idea of the Experimental section has been brought under the attention of the admins. It would be nice if we can find some skinners that really want this and show their support here. That would make it easier to sell it to the admins.
There are more ways to ask this question. Did you visit the newsgroups (this question may have been asked before) at news.stardock.com or Stardock's IRC server at irc.stardock.com yet? Often WBlinds is present in the #Stardock channel. If he is not too busy then he'll answer you. It may take a while, because he is working and does not always check the channel. Note that he is in GMT+0. And oh, please lighten up. It is not the end of the world.
Read post #2. In English it is called tic tac toe.
