w00master. It is obvious that you don't like DX. You are entitled to your opinion. But at least get your facts right. Most DX themes are not ports from HD, LS or WS. Sure there are DX themes which are also found as HD LS and or WS themes. These are often no ports, but parts of a (coordinated) suite. Most of these are developed simulateously. BTW: I think LS has more ports (in the true sense of the word) than the other products. Black Box, KDE and Enlightment based themes come to mi

This is RC1. Meaning the first release candidate. This could be the one, but probably needs some bug fixing before the final will be released.
Street? Culture barbarian! It is a district.
In the southern parts of the Netherlands we have "Karnaval" for a few days. Main attraction: Beer, beer, beer. In Amsterdam, where I live, we have beer all year arround. So there is no need for Karnaval
40) If rule #27 provides beer not up to you standards then leave this scence ASAP and start a new one. Long live LaChouffe!

Feline: The channel was there for the developers in the first place. You can imagine the horror when the common folks came along. Now there are even admins there who never seen a compiler. There are about 20 people in #Stardock during the week. About half that number during the weekend. The #WinCustomize channel has an avarage between 1 and 4 visitors. The good news is that Transmut
By the way there is #WinCustomize channel there too. Which is much to quiet...
For some time now Stardock has its own IRC server. Developers and customers can meet there. You can come there for help or just to chat. It would be great if this channel was better known and a link on the front page which tells one how to get there would be great. You need an IRC client to get connected. The server is called irc.stardock.com and it is using port 6667. If you don't have an IRC client yet then you can get there from here: https://www.stardock.com/stardock/chat/<
I think I would install it just for an hour, remove it and then I'll find me an OS/X customization site and babble like LancerKMT
Hmm. Several minutes later it showed up. Sorry about that
After updating my BlackAndBlue skin, the thumbnail image didn't change. The preview image (and the skin itself) was changed though. This will probably happen to all updated skins. Can this be fixed?
Frogboy: There are now 5 links to community sites. Why not add 3 instead of one to cover all 7 sites mentioned by you The numbers 5, 6 and 7 on your list only differ marginally (+/- 1%). All these sites are important to the community. The amount of overhead is nothing compared to the text and graphics in the middle of the page. Just my 2 € cents <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/joke.gif" bo
Feline: Nope. Just XP skinning. When I find the time, maybe I can brush up more notes Frogboy: You _are_ a Nerd (notice the capital N). We knew you and likw1d would win that contest
BTW: If you have nothing else to do this X-mas. This tutorial has 20+ pages.
When doing some stuff for SKS, I had to find out how XP skinning worked. The best thing you can do is to try it yourself. So, I did and made some notes. There are a lot of good XP skins arround, but a lot of them contain bugs, because nobody knows how to skin them. Even skins from great people like Alexandrie have some bugs in them. She cannot help that because she didn't know. The problem starts when people are using her skins as a template for their own and the bugs get copied <img sr
Great to see Renzo's themes here too. Congrats!
Congrats to you and Meghan
There is more to skinning than download numbers. Yes, Kenray. That is true. There is also more to WC than XP. Are we done with this now?
Skins without plugins don't prevent me from loading a skin. However, I do prefer skins that have WBAmp. Wouldn't you be surprised if I said anything else?
To create your own system tray like you want it click right on the desktop. Select "DesktopX" from the context menu, and then click "New Object". Right click the new object and select "Properties". A dialog appears. On the top you can select the "Object class" by pressing the arrow to the right of the edit box. Select "System tray". Now press "Configure" below it and set the options presented in the dialog that appears. After closing that dialog press the "Appearance" icon. The dialog c
Brad, I know you love statistics. However, IMHO it would be great if the few true skin sites that are left support each other by at least have a link to their front page. You can still have your hitlist below it in text. If bandwidth for the buttons for the major sites is a concern then use text for that too. As an alternative there is an option to switch icons on or off and maybe you could consider the buttons being icons as well. If icons are hidden use text instead of buttons. For the moment
At least he is now sure it is Bob XP.
Welcome Alex. Getting a theme is not enough. You need to have the app that applies the theme. Some of the software is freeware, others are shareware. The theme you mean is called Bob XP for DesktopX. You can find that on this site. More information about DesktopX you will find here https://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/
