... will the carrier capital ships get more squads? this just seems unfair to them. Kinda makes the sova a lot less important? which is sad because its one of my favorate ships in the game...

I too am looking to start playing again, i have been playing since the begining of beta 2 and was a part of the Space Ponies. I stopped playing for a while, but now that 1.1 is comming out i want to start again. If some one is looking for an experienced (though some what busy) player... let me know.
"-Carrier frigates rebalanced to have 2-3 squadrons and be relatively less expensive per squadron." -from change 1.1 beta change log First question, are Carrier Frigates referring to the Carrier Support Cruisers? If so, did they just become more valuable then the Carrier Capital Ships? It says they are rebalanced so i trust IC to have balanced this some how. But it seems a bit intense to have those ships have 2-3 squadrons. If this is not referring to the
very interesting indeed :CONGRAT:
i read that its in the works some time after 1.04 but thats about it. I got the impression that there would not be a 1.05 instead it would be 1.1 but that was a while ago, before the demo was even out. so i dont know what they are thinking now.
i think i recall something being said about derelicts being considered. I dont know if it is actually planned or not. But i know it is an idea that is at least on the dev's drawing boards.
Damnit, not my kidney!
I think the killer thing really is that even with a level 1 embargo you can still steal all 100% of his income given enough time. It just keeps casting on top of itself. I think if they made it so level 1 could only grab 40% and level 2 only say 70% and it would take a level 3 to get all 100% that would help ALOT. its just not fair for a level 1 capital ship with only one upgrade to embargo to be able to sit and steal that much income. Just a thought.
bump... what?!? where?!? i felt no bump ;-)
Please for the next games, do some beta testing. Just a little is enough.
Obviously you dont really know what your talking about... Many of us on this forum have been a part of ICs EXTENSIVE, year long, open, beta process. im not saying i like the way things are. I personally cant host either, wich sucks. But do alittle research befor making a smart ass comment that makes your whole post look un-credible...
All i gotta say is those who say Sins is doenst have the strategic depth GC2 has, hasnt really gotten into Sins yet. I am a BIG fan of both games. But they are simply very different. If you like alot of point/click, through a vast array of different menues and options (wich i personally love) then GC2 is supperior. But the Fleet stratagy and combat of Sins is so vastly in a compleatly different legue to GC2 its not even funny. There is SOO much stratagy involved in fleet make up and
Ok, ive been around GalCiv2 since months after its first release. It is an AMAZING game that I have continued to play and play and play. Ill get tired of it, stop, on the next patch ill be back at it again. But somthing as ALWAYS bugged me. And its their apparant lack of TLC for the Starbase. I personally LOVE star bases. Im a huge fan of Deep Space 9. I love the way star bases are simply AWE INSPIRING feats of engineering in most scifi universes.
that wasnt just for you Giedi, that was also for every one else above you there that havent seemed to have read back through the discussion. You at least brought something new(ish) to the table, a fact i appreciate. People who just say, ADD BORG, are annoying.
... easyer said then done... but yes, i do agree. Though its something that will probably be best done by an individual as an "add on" mod to the "vanilla" stat trek mod. I would love to see the Borg put in, but... dang, read what has already been talked about. They already have their hands MORE then full just trying to do the basics. and the Borg WILL NOT be in the initial release, a fact i am perfectly ok with.
It sounds good to me, however im gonna be honest. It is gonna be hard/take some time to organize a 5v5. Its hard enough to get 2 of us ponies in the same place for a game recently. i can give you a 1v1 or possibly a 2v2, but i think were honestly not ready to take on a 5v5 just yet. most of us havent even hit eachother internally yet. (wich sucks i know) Our Match scheduler should be up on our website soon. you should check that out when its up and put somthing on there. See how many bite
... i say again, rework the whole blackmarket/Pirate economy and BaBAM! the issue will be MORE then fixed! -Closed Economy- :CONGRAT: (for which the devs have ALREADY said they "have plenty up their sleeves" so we can discuss this all we want but the issue is already known and, what im sure is a very eligant solution to more then just this particular problem, is already in the works.)
closed economy... now theres a worth while idea :CONGRAT:
This really does come down to the fact that the Pirates/Black Market doesnt have its own economy yet. The Devs have said its in the pipe works but wont be a for a little bit. eventually (to my understanding) the pirates will make money of the black market, as well as off of Bounties and some set amount for being, well organized crime. And have to buy ships with that money. When this happens im willing to bet the whole way the Black Market functions will change. BUT I would LOVE to see the p
... the whole point of a counter is a different type of ship that does beter. Just telling the guy to build more ships doesn't answer the question. As said befor, LRM's and Bombers do very well in this situation. Unless they have ALOT of flack frigs. kodiaks + flacks + fighters is a very hard combo to counter. But its also very expensive to build so, in this situation, i would avoid said fleet. I would go around with Sovas and take out his economy, running like heck whenever he shows up.
have one the day... hmm... one day they probably will ;-)
that is gruesome... but something very un-pony like inside me relishes in its sight...
I know this, maybe your talking to a previous poster. But say if you had too many ships then it shouldnt let you scrap that tech till you scrap the ships first. thats my oppinion. it would work really well in game i think.
ok so im absolutely sure this has been mentioned. but i didnt read the whole post because i dont have the time. This is what i say should happen. You can "scrap" the fleet support techs. You get ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for them, except the boost to your economy. And you have to pay the original price if you want them back. it would suck to have to waist all that research, but if it comes down to needing the money, i think it should be allowed.
... umm stealing funds... you saw nothing, you have nothing, there is no evidence! its all lies i tell you, LIESS!
