User interface: Can I/How do I...... in Ideas GalCiv2 Forums

Hey everyone. I'm new to the game and have only tried the tiniest galaxies with one or two foolish aliens so far to figure out how things work. I'm looking forward to a full blown event (big galaxy and many aliens) but get somewhat frustrated when trying to do some things. I hope I haven't overlooked how to do these.
