A few years ago I bought Galactic Civilizations II online and downloaded it. My computer recently crashed and the game was deleted. I can't find my 2 disks for the original, only my Dark Avatar Expansion....since I originally bought it online, is there a way to re-downlod it and not have to pay again?

I have been trying for the last four hours to get either DL or DA to run with cheats so i can play a hotseat multiplayer, i have gone to the wikipedia page and done the exact thing with the short cut links, the stardock swirl in starts and so does the history vid but then crashes when its about to go to the main menu.....the stickied posts i have read say that my debug.err files tell everything, so after finding them i tried to open them just not to be able to...Now after being fed up with it im

open your stardock central from your programs menu and click games, then the gal civ icon and click on dark avatar after you click the little plus button, to the right side will be an update button:)

still no....i goes and starts the program and goes through the stardock swirl in and will play the vid explaining dark avatar and then when it tries to go to the main menu is when the game crashes....

Ummm im not seeing anything that is program or program 1 and i went and checked to show hidden files and unchecked the hide extensions buttton.....there is program files? should i look in there?

b/c with my shortcut the game always crashes... to see litterally all of the info go here WWW Link thats what the short cut readand everything else thats been suggested that wont work is this actually really easy?

there is... app data dark avatar event music gfx metaverse miles mods movies music screens sdpluggins sfx xml folders^^^ and a bunch a stuff under that that arent folders...

ummmm where would i look for that? i clicked the c drive, then program files, then stardock, then total gaming, then galciv2, then what? there is....

#5 You can play a quasi-Hot seat game with someone by loading up the game as GalCiv2 cheat (use the cheat parameter). Then when you set up the game, you let the AI play out a few turns and then have your friend pick one of the races they want to control. Have them select that unit and hit CTRL-SHIFT-Z.

Id like to play multiplayer with my brother who lives far away but is actually in town for a few days and have the rest of the opponents computer players...if anyone knows how set up a multiplayer hotseat please explain step by step....i think it involved cheats or modding something......and we would be EVER SO GRATEFUL! In fact, you would pretty much rock and make our week!!
