ahh,OK I see them now.Didn't realise there were tabs there.Thank you.

Just alot of ship jewelry.I cannot even begin to describe which parts in full but at least 20 peices that I remember aren't there. One part would be the long thin piece with a shape similar to a squared off popsicle stick. The single antenae. The individual lights. Some of the other "bridge" looking structural pieces. There are many more but to give you an idea I just started the game and counted all the jewelry pieces and there are only 50 total.
I have dread lords and used to have it installed but due to some problems with my comp I had to wipe my drive (I backed up my ship designs along with alot of other data). Then Dark Avatar came out and I waited to get the gold edition before reinstalling. The gold edition box said it was the complete game but after loading it and starting to play I found ALOT of ship jewelry from the original edition was not to be found on the gold edition. What I need to know is can I fish those files off the origi
I think the sizmod value is excellent.I just don't like the percentage increase in size from miniaturization. It should'nt be a percentage unless it is applied to components and not the hulls. But it wouldn't be as effective to apply it to components since you would have no other option except to increase the sizes of those to get a realistic value there, which would result in a corresponding increase in hull size to compensate. So I suggest "miniaturizing" component base sizes(i.e. Ion engines at
I have a problem with this too but I wanted to make a particular scale for my mod and I'm finding it difficult since sizemod is a percent based on hull size. Then miniaturization increases hull size and correspondingly increases component size which is very unusual.I want engines and defenses to scale up based on mass and size then have weapons at a very close size regardless of hull size.Although in my mod you still gain space when getting miniaturization it doesn't look right to me that "ships
Thanks.I got it fixed by making a new mod folder and putting only modded files in.it's not looking too bad so far in playtesting.
Thanks, but the problem is I have only one copy of the planetimprovements file in the corresponding folder.I assumed that only the files that are in the mod folder would be used when starting a new game with that mod selected but it seems to not be the case.
I've been working on a mod and so far all I've changed are ship components and starbase modules but I did transfer all the files I could to my mods folder so I can make modifications on the other files as I'm working.I started a game with my mod and found everything working right as far as I can tell except for the planet improvements.Along the right side on the planet screen I have double listings for all the buildings.....i.e. basic factory, basic factory, basic farming, basic farming, ect.Does a
I think terror stars are stupid myself.Any civilization capable of traveling from star to star in a couple of weeks would be able to destroy a planet alot cheaper than building a "terror star" simply by grabbing a good sized asteroid and propelling it up to a good speed towards the planet.Far cheaper and easier to do. A more interesting thing would be the use of biological/chemical weapons to kill the pop without causing harm to the planet. Care to research military grade R
Actually I am working on a mod right now with increased sizes on ships and their components.I didn't like the fact that a tiny fighter could put 1 impulse engine on and do a speed of two yet a large or huge ship that is perhaps 40 or 50 times larger than the tiny fighter and certainly 100 times or more more massive could put one impulse engine on that isn't even twice the size of the tiny fighter and move 2 parsecs. So I am adjusting that and hitpoints, weapon damage and defenses for a little mor
OH yeah,I almost forgot. It would also be nice to have a more realistic land battle.I don't need to see a little picture of my units duking it out but I would like to see unit compositions on planet. Then attack areas and enemy armies until I have truly conquered the planet.Land battles should take more time and not be cut and dried in a week.Generals could be implemented too.
Ahh,sorry should have thought of that.Thank you very much.
First off let me say,Ive been playing video games since Space Invaders and have been playing all sorts since then from console to computer. I myself don't care for multiplayer in TBS games either. When I play multiplayer I prefer FPS cause nothing compares to that in a multiplayer domain.Although a good RTS can be good too like AOK or Warhammer. I also don't want to see tactial battles either because I'm good at them and I don't like having that advantage. Instead of tactical battles pe
I want to make sure I get my numbers and data set up correctly for my mod idea. I have been playing some but I am more interested right now in tweaking the game a bit.Can anyone tell me which Weapon/Defense techs are alignment specific so I can set the values correctly.I am not changing the original game much just adding to it and using different numbers for size and damage/absorbption.I need to know which weapon/defense exclusive techs go with each alignment to insure balance.I have been basica
Problem solved. Returned it at Best Buy.Benn playing it ever since .It's alot like Civ 4 in the sense that you always want to play "one more turn". Awesome
That sounds like an offer to me. I'd love to travel down there if I could get a look at your studio and see the nuts and bolts of development. Though it is actually more like a two hour drive.I used to drive semi-truck for a living so I kinda know where your at. I drove for a trucking company based in Plymouth called Superior Motor Freight (SMF) and sometimes picked loads up from there as well.I just had no idea Stardock was located in Plymouth. Right on Beck rd. too. If it is just a matte
Thanks guys for your replies and input though it's nice to see community support.
I have recently done that and I'm waiting for a response but this is a very frustrating thing. It's obvious that it is an error of the packagers i.e. someone in the process forgot to put the sticker on the case. But that just seems like the stupidest of mistakes and my usual kind of luck. I also have the feeling that stardock support will tell me to try to return it to the retailer for exchange and that shouldn't be a problem cause they are good here.(not many crafty software pirates in my area)
This sucks I just bought and installed a game I can't even play because I cannot activate it. I hope this can get fixed.
Nope,it won't let me play. When I hit the play button it goes to a Stardock Product Activation window where I am supposed to input my E-mail which I can, then the Registration code but I don't have one.
By the way sorry about the double post but after posting the first time I didn't see it come up anywhere. Looks like the only choice I have is try to exchange it at Best Buy. But I don't know if the key is just a Registration key or CD key,Cause if it's a CD key I'll have to go thru the uninstall and reinstall all over again and I HATE doing that.
The cellophane was intact but I suppose that could be duplicated.Problem is it won't let me play the game without one and I don't want to make one up.
Just very carefully looked at CD's themselves too but nothing is there.
I bought it at Best Buy in Saginaw, MI. where I live. And to let you know I am an avid gamer and very much used to using CD keys I didn't really look for it when I first opened the package cause I figured I would fish it out once it was requested. But it reffered to the jewel case and nothing was there on the case or cellophane it was wrapped in. Then I figured that like most packaging it would be in or most probably on the back of the manual. But it wasn't there either. Then to make sure I checke
Can I get one somehow? Any help would be great.
