Tried a boot skin once...last time I do that again. Crashed my machine. Had to reinstall everything. Download everything else because I didn't have backups. What a mess. I thought I did it right. Haha...nope...not even close.I'll stick to what I know I can do...typing ain't one of 'em, too many typos. Seriously...whatever comes to my mind at the time is what I do. Download counts are irrelevent. Having my skins up for people to see is. Should someone decide to download it...fine...if not...no bi

I started trying to create a sysmetrix and got caught up in doing rainies. Perhaps one day I'll finish the smx but for now I've got a bunch of rainies and other stuff to submit and update. For me rainies are fun to do even if I do screw some of them up, witness my latticework and where there's smoke rainies, but there are those, like Fairyy, who point out where mistakes have been made and from this I learn. Fun and popular....all the same to me. It's all fun

I like doing fractals. I'm still getting the hang of apophosys and Fractal Draw Plus. I do agree that most look the same but...I try to make them as different as I can from one to another. One thing I find most annoying is repetition. When I use Gimp the Flame filter is somewhat randomized, which is a good thing. Another thing I like to do is use the fractal inside something. Be it a rainy or wall just not the fractal itself. Let the fractal be a part of rather than the whole. My opinion any way

You want inspiration...a long time ago, in DC comics, there existed a world called Bizzaro. It was a square world, people drove cars with square wheels. Almost everything was opposite to our more 'conventional' world. Why not start a trend along those lines. Any takers?

As it turns out QT TabBar was complete crap I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought so. Been using ExplorerXP as a replacement. That one works pretty good. It gives you all the info on your folders in the right pane and the tree on the left. Good thing about this one is that it lists 'all' the folders on your drive(s)unlike the regular explorer. Should this one prove better than it is definitely a keeper. Thanks for sharing

Over the last few days I've downloaded some very awesome skins. WC has become a home of sorts for me of late. So many excellent skins and the 'ARTISTS', becuase that is what you all are, have contributed to this person's life immensely. I've been adding my own meager talent, if you can call it that, so I can share as well. Excellent jod to those admins at Stardock for creating the wonderful site <img s

Made myself looney alright. If anyone has this app have you encountered this problem. Each time I load the program it's fine until I resize the screen or do something else. It encounters a problem and needs to close. So far I am unable to use it...any ideas? ...suggestions...will be greatly appreciated.

Just commented on a post requesting help for backing up skins. When I edited my reply I got a message saying Access Denied. This is the second time. The first time, although I was already logged in I was denied access to rainlendar gallery. I had to log off then log in again. Am unable to edit now.

Try this...in each Object Desktop app there's a folder containing themes, skins etc. If you have a DVD player (Duh who doesn't)you can copy these folders to a DVD disk as opposed to a regular CD. Graphic details won't be lost. If you have a backup utility like Nero or one similar use that app to backup your folders, reformat, install first what you need to then copy the folders back into their original places. Worked for me. Had to do that three times already <img src="http://images.star

Hi all, Got another one. This from cnet.com...The makers of Gimp have emulated many features of Photoshop and incorporated them into a different version of Gimp 2, name is Gimpshop It can do almost all that Photoshop can do. Haven't as yet played with it but I did go through the interface and found some interesting addons. Check it out if you haven't already. BTW...installed PC Firewall Plus. Makes windows firewall look sick. Thanks a bunch for that one...wo
