Wait...was it the drooling remnant that we wanted? Meh, if the drooling Mumble-clone will bring up our empire score, I say let him drool as much as he likes. (Especially since it'll be his keyboard, not mine.)

Good news! I look forward to trying it out!
Attention Gerontocrats. Plan A has failed. Switch to Plan B immediately. Marshall, you find out where he lives. GW, you grab the duct tape.
Abstain.
My younger cat is also named Loki. Older one is Kali. Loki was originally named Eris, until the vet determined he was a male. Oops. Yes, I do have a naming theme, heh.
I do think Morale and Economics are a bit undercosted, yes. I mentioned this elsewhere recently. That they become necessary, especially at higher levels of the game, does not mean they are balanced correctly, nor should it be necessary to play at those levels to recognize this. Doubling the cost would be too much, though, I think. Rather, the cost should be adjusted only by a few points so that the other bonuses are worth considering instead. There are a few others that some pe
I'm really sorry to hear that, man. You never know, though... cats do come back, as you can see: http://youtube.com/watch?v=WNyqXsv4Ueo
Whoa, calm down Ghostwes, danielost was not insulting the muslim religion. It is believed by many muslim extremists that they need to kill Jews and Christians inorder to have a place in heaven. And if you haven't noticed it is the extremists that get all the attention, in any religion (i.e. 'christians' who fire-bomb adoption clinics 'to protect life.'). I was and am quite calm, and don't think I was yelling. I apologize if it read that way to you. <
Really? I thought Ringworld was the first appearance. Eeeeenteresting. I stand corrected.
Itzok , is this your typical research order?
I just turned 37 myself, Kzinti. You'd certainly be welcome to join us. Funny. We've totally hijacked this guy's "please join my empire" thread. Sorry, megachu17 !
Actually, I am not familiar with what happened with Half-Life 2. In retrospect, it's entirely possible that Stardock is recruiting beta-testers from the forum, and they're under an NDA regarding it. That's what we usually do when playtesting card/boardgames anyway.
The Kzinti are the top predators in the galaxy Pshaw! The Gerontocracy are the top predators -- haven't you ever seen old people at a buffet?
bye, bye precursor mine. Sigh! What do you mean? Are mines less likely to show up using loose clusters?
After my 1st 2 games I decided that pure scouts weren't worth the yard space. However, I research Sensors and Ions very early and then get some extra scout/surveys out there. Anomalies can stretch the bank account for a loong time. Agreed. Of course, I imagine Scouts would be more useful if you got one free at the start of the game. Really, my suggestion for a different starting fleet is mainly to mix things up a bit. It would make the game more
13) Rallypoints --> There should be a way to delete rallypoints (is there a way?) A way to send all ships of a certain class to a rallypoint would be useful. The option to send *all* ships period is less than useful. From the v1.7 Beta 1 Changelog : + NEW: Governor that sends all ships of a specified class, and the colonies building that ship class, to target a given rallypoint
I'll admit that I am very much enticed by the goodies we've been promised for the upcoming TA expansion. I'm also a bit concerned. It was stated somewhere in the forum that Stardock will only be testing within Stardock itself -- will that be enough to properly test it? From the look of it, GalCiv2 will be changing radically with the introduction of new tech trees alone, and I for one would like to see that t

Were the Iconians not included on purpose? Uh oh...
and muslims cannot exist without a holy war. how else are they going to get into heaven danielost --> Rather than denigrate an actual religion with your ignorance and intolerance, why not just invent a new religion instead? This is a science fiction story, after all. Also, I think this forum has had enough religious bashing of late, no? Frankly, I'm getting rather sick of it... and I'm not even religious. Sorry for the interruption
We need to start recruiting the way the old British Navy did it, ie. Mumblefratz wakes up on a Gerontocracy vessel with a hangover and a large bump on the back of his head. Wonder if Mumblefratz is even reading this thread, heh.
Gives me flashbacks to that great season-closer episode in DS9, somewhere around the 3rd season, where the Klingons and Romulans discover that the determinedly peaceful diplomacy of the DS9 staff is really a very respectable technique...for buying time to add planet-class shield generators and 400 photon torpedo launchers to the annoying little mining station. That was a great episode, I agree. That show quickly became my favourite of the Star Treks by t
Oh, you asked to join while I was typing #166... oops! Invite on its way -- welcome aboard, sir!
Sounds like a fun game, drrider ! One thing I like about this game is that each session I play seems very different from every other session. Or maybe I'm not at the level of play where it all starts to look the same, in which case please don't tell me As for the name change, I can't really justify it, given the underwhelming response, but I am going to send you an invite anyway, drrider
THIS IS THE MUSLIMS FOR A PURE HUMAN RACE Umm, what?
