My captain, Marshall, has also done a Political Victory, and got a better score than I did (by a few thousand points, IIRC). I suggest simply taking his score so we can discard my error 16 game. Also, I think Neilo mentioned that he might have trouble submitting his this round? If so, then team B will still need a military victory to complete the collection. If that's the case, I'll reinstall GalCiv2 sans 1.7 and play the round again. Hmm, when does this round close anyway? I d

I'd like to see all of the super abilities made more competitive with each other. It's a shame that almost everyone chooses Super Breeder, just like almost everyone chooses morale/economic bonuses. Some balancing is needed, IMHO. However, of all the AIs, the Krynn perform consistently well in my games, despite their lackluster special ability.

all time favorite "Mind Control Center" (ensures that alien worlds that are ripe for defection, defect nearly instantly... oh ya, that's what I like to hear! ). It would be even better if it actually worked that way, eh? I use it for the economic bonus.

How does that work? I can't see anything in the Metaverse UI (High Scores, Gerontocracy) that looks like a way to invite folks. I have no new recruit in mind. This is just a point of curiousity. (Not sure if "benchmark" is the right word, really...) I remember way back in CivII, I would always shoot for Railroads, since it would both double my production and allow "friction-free" movement of my military units. I would pursue this at the expense of all other techs, in order to get the early advantages it provided. What technologies/achievements/trade goods/etc do you aim for in GalCiv2, and why? Join a group that dosent need a gimmic lik making every1 senators to be great, the Yauja empire!!! support the greatest alien race in existance, the Predators!! I believe he may be referring to we Gerontocrats in that, as emperor, I make each person who joins a senator automatically. I wouldn't call that our gimmick though, exactly -- being old and decrepit is our gimmick.

If Darth and/or Cornhusker Mac or we get another player then we can think about what to do. I think 5 in a team is enough, beyond that we should make new teams. If we're going to do more of the one-strategy-per-team-member rounds like the current round, then we might want to make teams max out at 4 players. So, five teams of four instead of four teams of five. Just a thought.

Error 16 when trying to post to metaverse in Beta Reports GalCiv2 Forums

Error --> "(16) The results of this game could not be posted to the Metaverse. Would you like to try posting your results again?" This is the first game I have attempted to post (or play) since updating to DA 1.7. pndrev mentioned in #72 here that he got the same error. I have a saved game I can send if that will help diagnose this problem.

I just finished my game, but the Metaverse gives me an error (16) when trying to post it. This is with the 1.7 beta 1. I just got the same error. Something to do with the update, I imagine. I also accidentally chose my main character instead of Incitatus. Does this matter at all? The game still has the correct conditions.
