#58 by brewman Why all the fuss about Title bar transparency/translucency in the first place? See-through Start menus and Title bars make text harder to read, and colors are washed out. A lot of hype and anxiety going on in this thread over a new feature that doesn't enhance use ability of skins .... but that's just

#9 by thomassen Has anyone tried this Styler program? Yeah, I've bought it. Its a front end for using mmstyles with the added feature of skinning a new Toolbar in Explorer (see above). The toolbar feature if pretty cool, but unless you want to edit a text file you are stuck with the layout defi

The titlebar buttons are not standard sizes or placements, I think the conversion goes wonkey because Adam hasn't encountered buttons done like that. Who ever is porting it, the buttons are crying out for a glowing overlay As for the Styler Toolbar, WB can't imitate that - its an additional toolbar thats been added to the default Windows ones,

Whats the point of having 1Gb of email space if they are not going to hold onto the emails? Next you'll be telling us that they can track our every movement just from our mobile phones... You should read Dan Brown's Digital Fortress (author of The Da Vinci Code etc) you'd love that

I use it for everyday things things: internet, email, music, cataloging my digital pictures (iPhoto is great) and the occational word processing. I can ahve all these things running

I use my Mac Mini as my main desktop at home, I've got the keyboard and mouse connected to my PC for when I need a PC only app or to play games (come on Stardock! I need Multiplicity for my Mac! ) I did bump up the RAM to 1Gb and now its nice and fast (the default 256Mb slows the OS down when you open a few programs) Overall I'm very happy with it.

I think they will loose their Mac market unless this new version pulls something special out of the bag. Dashboard, for all its sins, is IMO just as good as Konfabulator - and like most new widget programs, there is a whole slew of new widgets being made (and like most that will propbably tail off in the coming weeks). Perhaps they should stick to the Windows market, even with the competition (DX3, Kapsules, Avedesk, Samurize etc) they should

I know of people that consider themselves ‘Power Users’ when it comes to PCs - they've learnt all the nuances that Windows/DOS based PCs have, and they now consider these things the norm, so when they come to using Linux or Macs they expect things to behave the same way. Except they forget that when it comes down to Linux and Macs they are not Power Users and they end up learning the nuances of these OSs by trial and error. I bet you won't be making th

Well my copy arrived today, so that won't stop the launch. At worst, they'd have to pay up and maybe change the Tiger to another cat. I can't see it happening though. 10.4.1 is very nice, even on my Mac mini its faster than Panther
