I've picked up quite a few little interesting nuggets from your videos, and just wanted to thank you for your efforts, and anxiously await more.

I absolutely agree with this. I remember asking for it several times in WoM too, as did others. I'm rather surprised it didn't make it into EFE.
This game is extremely easy to mod
I see this statement over and over in these forums, and for a non-modder, no it's not easy to mod. I understand it's manipulation in the XML (or at least I believe it is) but that doesn't necessarily make something easy to mod. What gets modded, how does it get modded, what values are allowed when modding, what else get affected when I mod this value, etc... I
I really like the character models as they are. They match the other graphic aesthetics and fits in with the whole style. I really hope Stardock leaves them alone.
I am a bit confused about the campaign (although I'm not into it too deeply) about the city building. Initially when starting there's a few popups stating it's not about city building, so I'm unsure if I'm actually supposed to be doing anything with it? I get popups that won't let me not research, so I always pick something but I don't know what I should be focusing on, or if it's just because there has to be research going of any type, as lon
I was thinking about how to make tactical combat a little more engaging, and here are just a few thoughts: 1) Add some sort of cover system. For instance, units in a tile with trees will have a defensive bonus. Ranged units blocked by terrain will have their hit chance reduced. 2) Use terrain elevation to confer bonuses. For instance, a unit on top of a hill will have increased attack while units attacking from below would r
I played and enjoyed the crap outta Diablo 3. Not enough to continuously play it, I have ever rarely done that with any game, but it was still enjoyable as hell. Torchlight 2 was a bit more fun, but again, probably won't replay it until they release the editor then I'll play around with modding. Did not play Dishonored, so I cannot speak to it, same with Borderlands 2. But I did play, and am still playing (yup, I'm actually replaying a gam
I really erally like the game. I applaud Stardock and Brad for what they've accomplished here, but it isn't really anywhere near the caliber required to win Game of the Year. 4X Strategy Game of the Year, maybe but Game of the Year. No, I just don't see that.
Notice that the first thing he mentions is not enough warning when a city is idle.
And I scoffed and laughed. How could you possibly miss the blinking and fairly large ZZz on the screen? I'd much rather have the ZZz on the left side than some obnoxious pop up that would continuously pop up for however long it may be idle.
Quoting Wizaerd, reply 7It is doubtful, and sad, that I'll be using any mods if they are contained or overwrite core game files. And that also means I'll most likely not be doing any exploring or experimenting with modding myself. That's a shame. It takes less than 15 seconds to copy and paste the contents of your data/english folder somewhere else as a backup. If you are interested in exploring

Thank you for not distracting your developmental efforts and resources to provide MP. As a person who has seen many good SP games suffer due to the inclusion of MP features, I appreciate the decision to not pursue it for the initial release. I'd even appreciate it more if you skipped MP altogether to finalize and work out the many quirks/bugs with the SP game that remain, then continue to add content to it. If the SP starts to suffer or put on the back burner, to pursue
At some point I had un-equipped Gnarri's club, and now I am unable to re-equip it. It says it will break his encumberance threshold. However, he has no other items, I've not given him anything so he has what he originally arrived with, yet still unable to re-equip his original (and only) club. In looking at his stats, the maul weighs 25, and he's already at 8/30 so it is true, he cannot equip it. However, again it's his original club (maul) and he has b
And yet, it showed up after battling some Ogres... how very odd... It's better than WoM ever was, but still a bit quirky here and there. Cursor not updating, inventory not updating immediately, etc...
Barra Nurg - The reward screen said I was going to get some bow, stronger than a Yew bow and yet I received no bow. Nothing in my equipment screen even remotely resembling a bow, except the yew longbow Shirayne already had with her.
Who is going to play the "Campaign" anyways? In all my years of gaming I have NEVER played a campaign game of these types. I'm straight to the FUN sandbox mode where I get to select everything.
Lots of people will. Newcomers to the genre will, as well as those who love campaigns, such as myself.

Is this the case for Steam as well? Uninstall first? Via Steam itself, then find the directory to manually remove?
Quoting mlepinski, reply 67 quoting post I've gotten a lot of questions from people over the past couple of years about why we are giving away Fallen Enchantress to the early adopters of War of Magic. They say people won't remember War of Magic (it was 2 years ago). They say it won't "buy" good will back from those who didn't like WOM. I pre-ordered War of Magic. I didn't like the game at releas
The campaign... er, uh "scenario" was created with the current modding tools, or at least was to said to be used, and that users would be able to create their own scenarios. But without any type of scripting, how exactly is that possible? How could you build complex, branching scenarios with only entries in an XML file?
