AI editing.
This would be cool. And it would be awesome if you could use different AI modules for each race (i.e. C-Evo - http://c-evo.org/index.html). Even though I don't know the first thing about AI programming, it would be awesome to see what third-party modders develop and how it might change the game.

What, in your opinion, are the best Science Fiction movies? Here are the ones I think are the best...in no particular order: The Matrix (only the original) Star Wars (esp. episodes III and V) Stargate Star Trek II, III, and IV Planet of the Apes (the original with Charlton Heston) Aliens Terminator I & II E.T. Total Recall

1. Definitely NOT real-time. I prefer turn-based gameplay. 2. Diplomacy that is more like Civ 4 -- with the ability to make an offer and ask what they are willing to trade, rather than the trial-and-error trading system in GC2. 3. The ability to expand bases without the use of constructors. (Less tedious).

This may be a bug in Twilight 2.0... While playing the game, the victory conditions screen it says that Ascension Victory is disabled. However, on the opening screen, while choosing the preferences for the game, I have Ascension Victory enabled. In my prefs file (My Documents/My Games/GCTwilightArnor/Prefs) it has the setting AscensionVictory=1.

Including the originals and the expansions, I have spent $100 on this game to date. For $60, I say this game would be a steal. And as far as PC games go it is money well spent. If you like Turn Based Strategy games, this is a great game. And you will be hard pressed to find better support and updating on a PC game. There are also few games that are higher rated (see gamerankings.com). If you like the demo, my guess is that you will like the full game even more.
I have to ask how many of the people reporting problems on this thread with any AV product had attempted to replace either another manufacturer's pre-installed package or another manufacturer's package they had themselves put on earlier.
I have uninstalled and replaced Norton, AVG, and Avast. The only one I have really had trouble with is Norton. It's simply ridiculous to have to download and run a "removal" program after running the uninstaller. I never h

IMO - The best FREE AV is Avast or AVG (though personally I prefer Avast, I have also used AVG effectively). While I have little experience with most paid AV programs, I have used Norton, which qualifies as malware. It is bloated, spreads it tentacles throughout the OS, is difficult to remove, and provides a significant performance hit. I would not recommend going without AV software. You can always save CPU cycles by turning off the real-time protection and using
I have Vista 64x and have no problem playing any of my older games....So I would go for 32 bit. Especially if your rig has more than 2 gig ram.
Did you mean I should go for 64-bit?

I am hoping to build a new PC soon, and I am trying to decide which version of Vista to install...32-bit or 64-bit. I have read some things suggesting that 64-bit is bad for gaming (particularly older games...I play quite a few older games). However, what I have read is over a year old. Does anyone have any advice on which version of Vista to install? Is 32-bit better for older games (i.e. Europa Universalis II, SimCity 4, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, etc.)?
Only the first Trek film (The Motion Picture) was worse IMHO.
I agree that the Star Trek sequels II, III, and IV were all better than the first one. Some awful sequels: Beverly Hills Cop 3 & Windows ME

t1ny_g0dzilla: Yeah, I have an NVidia FX5500 with the latest display drivers. After reading your post, I decided to try to revert to an older driver (169.21 - 12/2007) and see if that worked. No go. Also, the demo no longer works, but it did before I installed the full version. Now the demo says that Stardock.net is unavailable.

For what it's worth, I don't hate you. The fact that you care whether or not people hate you probably means that you're not the kind of person that most people hate.
