Extra vowels are not evil, the words with 'extra' vowels are actually the originals.
Also, how do I mod the screen that appears when you first click on GalCiv2?
Does anybody know how to mod the title screen (the screen with new game/load game etc), the logo and the background picture. I have tried finding a photo and renaming it properly but that doesn't work. Thanks in advance for any help.
This might be my problem. How do you check if JavaScript is enabled in firefox.
Isn't Alaska just a US state though?
Extra vowels aren't evil, cheesily shortening words (like color) is.
Sorry, I'm using 1.5.0.4 and the problem is that the borders don't appear and all the text doesn't have gaps between lines. Thanks.
The new forums are really good but only in ie. In firefox 1.5, they don't work.
I'm thinking of including a plant race and wanted to know what people thought about my skills in Paint: In responce to anarchista, I based it roughly on economic power, but am updating it to have more asian races etc.
THERE ARE NO ALIEN LANGUAGES IN CIV4, THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT BECAUSE YOU CAN'T UNDERSTAND IT SO YOU CAN HAVE AUDIO HERE JUST LIKE IN KOTOR!!! What about speaking to the Terrans?
Yeah, that's what I did. Thanks for it.
Have you used windows' built-in compression system? I used it and got the same problem you seem to have. Could you please use a third-party compression program.
I agree with your ideas, I particulary think the politics should be made more prominent. My mod in the library has several present-day nations to use in the game, and I'm currently updating it to have more Asian nations. Hope you enjoy it.
Google may be good for finding pictures of monsters and random aliens, but it didn't turn up anything when I entered Thal, Thalan or anything like that.
I'd like to know this too. I'm particulary looking for Thalan portraits.
Type this: "C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\galciv2.exe" cheat That should work.
Hello.
I presume when you invade a planet, only the tax paying citizens fight, so waht happens to the non-taxpayers ie children and elderly? One idea I have is something from civ 4. When you conquer a planet, all remaining natives appear as a percentage of your overall population. If the planet is in your influence zone, its citezens will eventually becom your species. This could also be applied in peacetime, ie the ethnicity of a planet leans slightely towards what influence zone it is in.
It's because as unused social prod is converted to military prod, when you come to build the improvement there is no social prod available but when you go to the screen again it has recalculated and displays the correct time. This is annoying and I hope it's going to be fixed in 1.3.
I have experienced the same problem.
I've reconsidered which nations would be likely to get into space and have drawn up a list of nations to use in the future update. I am also going to include some minors. Major Races American Union British Empire Russian Federation People's Republi of China Republic of Korea (South) Japanese Empire Indian Republic Xith Empire Thalan Republic Minor Races French Empire German Federation European Union<b
Can anyone supply me with other Thalan portraits to use for minor races?
I've ahd the same problem, but not at startup, but in the midddle of a game. Then a message comes up saying "GalCiv2 has encountered a problem and needs to close" My video drivers are also up to date.
I might downgrade some of the european nations to minors in the future.
