Help! Help! I'm being repressed!
Macmatt
I'd like to pre-order Dark Avatar and wondered also if there will be an option to deal in GB£.
Its the arrow button just above the 'now researching' panel on the far left.
That's exactly what I needed, thanks!
Thanks in advance to anyone who helps.
I feel so stupid. I've been modding a campaign and have not got a copy of the original campaign file. Could someone please provide me with it. Its located in Data/English/Campaigns and is entitled something like 'Dread Lords Campaign.gc2campaign'. Please help!
Just delete the UP Movie line as well and it will use the race's portrait in the UP meetings.
I take it as you seem to be doing it yourself, you won't need me for the mod.
Try making it your default character.
Try this guide: https://www.galciv2.com/mods/gc2modsdoc.htm
For a mod to appear in the mod selection window, it must have a ModDescription XML file in it; I know some don't.
I would update the game to 1.2 and update your video card drivers.
In the tech xml, you can give a value to techs which determines how much the AI values it. If you're looking for a tech tree overhaul, try Wilson's alternate reality mod in the library. I've downloaded it but haven't played it yet.
The AI is able to research starting techs: some races start without Xeno Comms, Galactic Warfare etc.
The Human Factions mod is one where the standard races are replaced with present-day human nations and 2 alien ones. It can be found here. http://library.galciv2.com/index.aspx?m=371
The main directory is the program files/stardock/totalgaming/Galciv2 folder. Remember before installing it to backup your existing politicalparties.xml
1.3 will be just bug fixes and AI improvements; they're saving all the new features for Dark Avatar.
It goes in the Data folder.
Just out of interest, have any of you downloaded the Human Factions mod?
It only shows new posts on the recent posts list after someone makes a comment. That's why people bump their posts.
In a way, the Black Knights are equivalent of the Dread Lords and will faeture in the campaign.
In the research window, when you click on a tech, it tells you if it unlocks any ship designs and what else you need to unlock the ship.
Well, I can do the no free techs, and will have to ask around about the ships, but I don't think it is possible to have respawning anomalies.
I don't think you can demand things like that at the moment, although I would like to see this feature added.
Well at the moment I'm spending most of my time on the Human Factions mod, but after that's released I could do something like that.
