Strange thing is I have made Alliances with Friendly races as it should work but one race in my game the Arceans are Friendly with me, but there is no option for an alliance. Is the Friendly factor just sometimes, and with some races it needs to be Close?

Surrender in this game is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. If I am pushing into an enemy’s territory and have them on the ropes they just up and surrender to another race? Has this ever happened in the history of war? It would be like Japan surrendering to Brazil instead of the US in WW2. It makes no damn sense what so ever. Have they detailed any of the changes coming to the "beefed up" diplomacy in Dark Avatar. I really hate the current diplomacy as it's very uncreative. I want to be able to persuade other races to do things and it's not really possible. The computer can come to you all the time and suggest that you follow a certain course of action but you can not do the same to them, unless it's some retarded extreme like declaring war or making peace.
