The Earth Commonwealth occupied the lower portion of the galaxy and the Dread Lords occupied the upper NW corner, surrounded by Drengin worlds, with whom they had become friends. The Drengin had not taken kindly to our previous efforts against Amalda, the Dread Lord home world, and had decided to declare war on us, although as of 2227, no action had been taken against our worlds and so the war exists only on paper. We had become friends with the Arceans, the Drath and the Korx. The Altarians and

Well think, when you get the planet, assuming you haven't completely decimated it, you get all of its bonuses, now it seems unlikely that your surviving troops will man all the factories and whatnot, and even mor unlikely that you can ferry over 5 million people in 1 week, so maybe the regular population is still there, albeit property of (benevolent empire's name here). I really like your idea though, and possibly in a future expansion or patch it could be implemented as an optional th
I use economic starbases and put as many trade routes as I can in there sphere of effect, I then max out the trade modules and get a tidy sum from all freighters that pass in range. I only uses Influencers for defence, as in to hold back the boundary of another races influence to stop it engulfing my worlds. I use military starbases to defend my most valuable worlds and also monitor borders between me and my enemies. If I need to reach somewhere out of reach of my starships, I
As far as I know none of our credit cards are compatible with US ones, I'll have to ask (I'm only 15 and let me tell you, it sucks!)but you've been very helpful.
I was told by that if we wanted to PRE order it we could use paypal or even pay by mail, we had to contact [email protected] to sort something out, however I'm not sure if it will be available in other currencies after realease
Thanks Kryo, I'll admit that isn't the news I was hoping for but knowing for (semi) certain helps a lot, cheers! Oh and in response to The Sabre, thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately I live in Great Britain, just about the only country not to convert to the Euro.
Do u ever get the feeling everyone is out to get u? A little bit.
The (insert already powerful civilization name here) has discovered several (20 or so) ships on (planet name here)and our scientists have classified them as Rangers (gulp) ==2 turns later== On a diplomatic mission to (above civilizations homeworld) our ambassador accidentally insulted the emperors wife, and as a result they have declared war on us. ==2 turns later== There seems to be a galactic recession in progress, economic rates are down (-126bc) on previous ave
Better special effects for the weapons.
The Arcaens were very sneaky once, they moved all their ships into range around my planets, we were "Close" at the time and they were at war with the Yor, who had several planets close to mine so I though that they were simply fighting against the Yor. But as soon as the Arcaens got in prime position, they announced that I was not profitable to them and wiped me out, literally in the space of three or four turns. The game was on Challenging difficulty and the Arcaens were random intelligence. I
I was gonna start my own thread about this but I can post here as well, what are the plans for European release, I know its buy electronic download but all the payment options I've seen are in US dollars. It seems a bigger pain in the neck than a bullet to the voicebox to fiddle with paypal and all that so are there any plans to release under european currency?
That would make the gameplay much more realistic, there was a game called Starships Unlimited where another race would give you the data from their starmaps, but this seemed to be a wildly bad idea as a cunning fox like myself would use their trust and locations of their stars as a strategic advantage and crush them. So yeah EvilMartian, I agree with you.
Hey, I'm 15 and most of my friends have either Galciv 1 or Galciv 2, heck, most still have both, I do! I have completed the campaign in GalCiv2 and also the "Dread Lords on Parade" scenario on Insane difficulty, can any of the older players beat that?
Anomalies disappear way to quickly, survey ship is too slow, it should be faster.
Damn, those Thalans know a good planet when they see one. The highest planet I ever found was a class 21 which was in the hands of the Altarians, it was downgraded to a class 19 when I used Mass Drivers to invade, I was in a hurry okay?
I'm interested in pre ordering Dark Avatar but I live in Britain and all the prices seem to be in dollars, will it be available in Europe or will I have to convert between pounds and dollars?
I'm sorry I don't have an answer to your question, but the more replies there are the more likely you'll get one. I just want to say that I live in Europe, and while dissappointed that the EP is DD only, I would at least like it to be made more accesible to our fair and peaceful continent
I was just wondering if the expansion has any of the stuff that came with the collectors edition. I didn't get it and feel I missed out on a bunch of cool stuff and I hope that that content is in the EP
