Right-clicking to move is a thing from RTS. It isn't so hard to learn, but I prefer, by far, the HoMM system described in the OP : one clicked to choose destination, then a second click to approve. With the same button.

Why don't they use hex ? Is it so hard to code with them ? You can just expand the number of mouvement points : instead of getting 1 or 2 points just get 10 or 20 points. If it needs 10 points to move one square orthogonaly, it costs you 14 points to go diagonnaly.

The AI isn't so bad ! You just have to use well your flags. And I didn't encounter strange behavior, like a hero not defending himself while he is attacking a den. And even if the game is short, it's just plain fun. The fixed locations for temples and caravans bothered me at first, but now that I'm accustomed to it, it's a great idea. This game is good ! And hard. Not too hard. Just hard. And that's a good thing. When you get the hang of it, the "so difficult" m

And why not a trait you could choose at the sovereign creation ? After recieving a fatal blow, your sovereign becomes a ghost. And you need to "call it" lik ein dom 3. Being a ghost you can still cast spells, are immune to physical damages, but your people start being angry about being ruled by a .. ghost.

Instead of a roll for escaping, why not auto-escaping BUT ... you get permanent wounds .. like being blind, or dumb, or afraid of big potatoes ... or ... AND with a good escape value you get lesser wounds (STILL permanent, but weaker) That would create some good stories "You !! You got one of my eyes, but i've trained since last time. Prepare to die !!!!"

In Age of Wonders there were some squares that let you escape the map. SO you have to play stactically to escape. In autoresult you had the choice to try to escape. If you have more move points than anyone else, then you can escape. An "evade" stats isn't a good idea. Move points should be used instead. How a senile, slow walking guy could escape some enraged warriors that are here to kill him ? Unless there's magic. Or why not getting other use of the evade stat ? (like getti

Yep, that's logic. But how can you crush a kingdom whose head can't be cut ? You'll always have some kid for replacement. So I guess you'll only play with diplomatic/magic/quest victories.

I doesn't remind me anything... but I don't understand spoken-english very well. And I usually listen to metal (in flames/all that remains/trivium FTW!), so I don't have a single clue what this could be ...

In fact I hope that the graphics you choose won't have any influence on the game. I don't want to get "melee" bonuses if I choose a lion, because I want to play a magical sovereign with a lion on his Coat of Arms.
