You medicine can do some magic nowadays ? :P You're still young at 50 *says that young brat that is 31*

And why not ? If the game is programmed right, very few things should be hardcoded. For instance, I hope I'll be able to mod the tactical battles and get rid of the "hit points system" to use a "wounds" system.
A worker always work better when he has good conditions ;)
I also hope I'll have enough time to play that elemental game I'll have been playing(wording?) for 20 years [e digicons]\o/[/e]
It can only be done if the borders don't expand automatically. That is the real problem, I think. If it doesn't grow automatically, it could become a nightmare in the end-game, with huge empires. Or changing the way borders work : why not a per-square ownership ? At start each square has no influence and belongs to noone (or maybe only special grounds, like the borders of a dragon lair ;)). When you move your units, you gain 1 influence for each square you traveled through. If
Or the ability to "play" several picture in order, like a slideshow. So you would be able to create "events" that could tell stories or things like that .. that would let mod-maker the ability to customize even more the games.
You could even use fake units. Imagine : if you only see the biggest unit of a stack, and an approximation of the number of units (like in HoMM) .. you could build big units that do nothing .. but the enemy doesn't know it .. then you could create diversions.
I had an idea about leveling up : https://forums.elementalgame.com/365111/get;2390024 What do you think of it ?
Quoting Hawawaa, reply 10Well I can't wait for the next build to come out! Hopefully they just keep flying out fast! Beta 1a's planned for Thursday...AND I think we've just fixed the big, nasty save game bug! So that's pretty awesome.
Very good news, because without being able to load, bug hunting is a lot harder ;)
Maybe some : About economic About units behavior About units creation About cities About map features About sovereign customization
Losing points ? On level up ? That would be a BDD : Bad Design Decision. Maybe upgrading stats would need 2 "level up points", then some stats would need 3 "level up points" and other only 1 "level up point". But I really hope we can chooose whichever faction we want and create the sov we want. Why would I have to take a magic sov if I choose some factions ? Maybe when you create the sov you can choose between several kind of sov that would decide the cost of adding points on
This is the spidermit ! :D
There's a bug where units don't appear at the right spot .. you may have encountered it.
Maybe some escalation to war ? You always start neutral, and if one of your unit get caught inside an enemy territory (we would need some unit perks like "stealth" in order to be able to spy) the relations between faction decrease and you get a warning. Then you could researsch such things as "Counter spying" that would give you a small chance of finding enemy/neutral units that lurk in your territory (like 10% to find a stealth unit)
There's always diplomatic/quest/magic research/conquest victory conditions planned (There's those buttons when you create the map)
The game isn't so horrible, but everyone should be clear with the fact that you "play" in the beta IN ORDER TO help report bugs. And it seems not everyone is reading how to do it (not everyone is giving the debug.err nor the dxdiag. Not even a screenshot)
Good news ! I can hardly wait for the next beta .... Gimme moaaar !
When you build road between two cities, some invisible caravans are created, and they seem to cost money T__T
You need 400 gold to do the job. Then you can spend 10 gold per turn in the project .. then you'll need 40 turns to finish the project. I would prefer that instead of the "You must have the 400 gold before the project starts".
You avoid stereotypes ... Imagine i'm asian .. or fat .. or androgyne .. or with a big scar all over the face or .. etc. May I ask what is wrong with being Asian?
It depends where you live. In some countries, looking as an asian will change the way people talk to you.
But dominion had an strong influence implementation. There won't be any thing like faith in elemental that would let you win/lose, even if you're military stronger/weaker.
The fact is the balance of using/not using essence will be hard : if you don't use essence what is the main drawback ? Few cities. But you're so powerfull that you can take any city you want anyway ! I really like the fact that it'll be played as in supreme commander where they are super-units, but the balance of this will no be a simple task.
In MoM the two worlds were relatively ... bland. I would prefer only one plane but with a lot of things to do/see, than two half-finished planes. It doesn't add to the gameplay in my opinion. What an underground could add to the game ? A way to get past mountains ? But magic will be there for that : just destroy that mountain, or cast fly, or make one with stone. In AoW2:SM the other world had some gameplay changes, but they weren't so interesting.
In supreme commander it's a bit hard at first to get used to a per/sec payment, but when you get accustomed ... it's just so usefull : you can strat projects even if you don't have the money ! If you don't have enough on a turn, then the project will pause.
Just double-click it ;)
