I noticed something while creating ships. When I look at them straight on, the hardpoints are not exactly balanced on the sides opposite each other. It makes the ships seem lopsided. Is there a way to combat this? It's driving my perfectionist self insane. I know, for one incredibly lopsided ship look at the core terran constructor.

I'd just love for some simple shapes, like cubes and sheres, most every jewlrey part in the game now looks too exotic. It would make cool ship making alot easier than putting thousands (exageration) of parts on a ship when a few parts could make the same ship. Also love the idea for moving parts, would die for that.

I love it when people on this site act like they are scientists, lasers and beams, DON'T EXIST ( well exept for laser pointers and such), it all started with Star Trek and Star Wars, and now people act like its reality, it's all shiny looking special effects in movies and games meant to make people look at them and say "oooh pretty".

Ah, it's always good to have a few consoles, for example Halo released a for the Xbox a fairly long time before coming to the PC. Also you don't have to do anything with a console for years, just buy new games. And for the answer to the orginal question, no I wouldn't ever buy a PS3, I love my Xbox and i'm perfecly fine with my Xbox 360.

Hehe, when I play evil as Yor I sing in my head, "yor hor, yor hor, the pirates life for me". Does that qualify? As psycotic, bloodthirsty, robotic, alien pirates, yes.

When the pirates first appear, the message will mention what planet they are menacing. The pirates will not have formed a fleet initially, they will be stacked on top of each other as single ships. If you can destroy them that first turn, before they can join together, they are much easier to deal with. That's only if the pirates are spawned fro

Even with the spices trade good and super low taxes (among other things), the morale on my capital world is yellow. I can't stand it, but I guess I'll have to live with it... Well, yellow is fine, unless you're trying to get the 100% approval that gives double population growth, you really don't need to worry at all, the only time you need to sta

I don't think economic starbases actually increase the amount of money you make, do they? Wow, wow, what? You're kidding right? Of course economic resources increase the amount of money you make.

They are your allies, and you MUST support them. Where did you here that you MUST support them, and besides they usually try to put influence starbases around MY planets in campaign mode. I make em' work pay for they're techs, might as well have some fun and put them in debt while you're killing dread lords! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/g

Has anyone else recognized that the ai are cowards, they only attack you if you're weak, they always try to get a peace treaty at the first sign of losing ground, and they hound you every turn to make peace with them. When i'm a reletivly small empire they try to invade you, but if i'm powerfull they act like you're there best friend.

I feel ya Fatman139, my mod files are all screwed up because of 1.3, now I can't play using any mods. And for some reason, the game must not even know it's updated, when I play the game it says 1.2, and it IS 1.2, even though i've downloaded 1.3. Talk about turning my last few days into steaming piles of poo.
