Hi, friends, This is not to complain, but just an observation. Gal Civ III is a wonderful game, but the typos can get distracting. It's just small things here and there. I was keeping a list but now I can't find it! Rats. Anyway -- if you have an editor or proofreader on staff or contract, you might ask her or him to go through the dialogs and descriptions throughout the entire game. It needs a good going-over, and then it will be even more polished and enjoyable. As an editor

Rhonin, thanks for that. I have already moved on to another GalCiv game, and have saved over the old save files. But this WAIT problem seems to affect people . . . not often, but often enough to cause some letdown. We put a lot of care and energy into our galaxies. =) It was a big galaxy -- "ludicrous" size -- with about sixteen civilizations. So there was a lot going on. Something got stuck somewhere. =) Eric
It seems like the WAIT problem is still present in the game. After carefully building a game over about ten hours of solid play, the game will not advance any more. The lower right actuator button is stuck on WAIT. I wait and wait. I check to see if I can nudge any survey ships, trades, anything. I've tried for hours. Game is stuck. This has happened to me a few times. I am speaking up now. I'm disappointed in this aspect of the game. - Eric
I get this too: When I try to put the Terror Star in a fleet, the game crashes.
Good to know. Thank you.
Hi. Wonder if anyone else has observed this. I build a terror star, aim it at a star, get warned that, if I use the terror star, then planets will be destroyed and a war will commence, click YES, and ... nothing happens? Terror stars don't seem to do anything. Has anybody else observed this behavior? Eric

Hello. I just did a complete reinstallation of Galactic Civ 2 and the Dark Avatar expansion, on a new computer that I just built. The installation and updates went fine, except for heightmaps. When I try to update heightmaps I get an error (pasted below). Any idea what's going on? Have other people encountered this? It looks like the Stardock update program downloads the file gc2.heightmaps.sdc three times, tries to validate that file, then throws the error. Looks like
I'm unable to get the 1.6 update. Just FYI: I refreshed XML and cleared the pre-release checkbox. Error message: Error: Attempt: 3 | Module Request Failed: The module you have requested is no longer available. (ref: 201) Result: Installation failed (9) I have tried downloading the update from the two different Stardock servers: US-1 and US-2. I've had similar troubles before. You might revisit the update process? Thanks. Eric
