Then you know to use the pole, buoy ring, rescue tube, and as a last result to jump in. Keeping the victum under your control - even if it means pulling them under water to get them to let go of you. I guess I'm saying there are limits on our ability (not desire) to help one another.

I think not giving him a second thought would be worse - as if he's not there - not a human being. Which impulse? The one that sounds like my Dad "don't pick up hitchikers - never." The one that wants to help & would (from inside my locked car) offer to make a call or offer a cellphone? I want to help - but my Dad had some sound advice. If you see someone drowning & jump in to help - but can't swim - you're not helping them - you

I know what you mean Doc. Your mind lives it today. It's like reading a book or seeing a movie, even if it's an old story or a black & white movie. You're reading or seeing it today. So, for you it grips you as if it is happening today.

I think the ACLU would defend a person that started a fire in a crowded movie theater - as long as the "firebug" didn't yell "fire". This reminds me of the nightclub fire in Rhode Island that killed about a hundred people - they set off pyrotechnics inside the building. He can babble all he wants. He put those kids in danger. I want to inflict pain on him. Perhaps branding the words "I'M A STUPID JACKASS" on his backside would be

Have talked to any of the other students parents? If she is indeed screaming "I'm tired of being a teacher" then perhaps the principle can help her weary butt out of the classroom. I work in an office. We are not permitted to yell at a customer. Think of yourself as a customer - what would you do if a sales associate did this yo you? Maybe I've rolled out my soapbox - but - I'm tired of hearing about these kinds of incidences with teache

Autumn - the leaves are beautiful, the days are still warm (compared to winter & not sweltering hot), the nights cozy cool. The apple festival, Octoberfest, Halloween. My Husband does lawn/yard care - so he does the leaves.

We vacationed here in Ohio this year - and enjoyed it! We make stops on the way to & from work to cut down on extra trips to the store & such. Otherwise we stay close to home. Where the frack are they going? Back & forth - humans are nutty people.

I know what you mean. The audi lady assumed you needed help. The door lady - a simple thank you was inorder. My Gramma was a tough lady. She had arthritis and mowed the lawn with a push mower. One neighbor told her he would do it. She told him, "Oh no - I need the excersise, it keeps me going. But you could ask Mrs. Wallace up the street if you need to make some money". He was shocked that she thought he "needed" to make a few bucks. I miss

His: Lawn care, Car care, Grocery shopping, Vacuum, unloads the dishwasher. Mine: Bathroom, Floors, Windows & curtains, dusting, load the dishwasher. We both do laundry, change the sheets, and cooking. Cat - same as Socrates: sleeping, eating, and knocks stuff onto the floor.

We tell ours "I'm going to get the squirtgun" and he meows and runs off. He understands "noisy" too. If I'm about to run a loud appliance, all I have to say is "it's noisy" he hisses and runs off. I love our little fur-ball.

Mudd from the original. We watched the episode yesterday too! My husband was calling me Stella the rest of the day - he's a tease. The only other Mudd one I can think of was with the women on a mining colony - he was giving them a make you "hot-sexy" drug.

I'm a "Billing Babe" and end of the month is big crunch time. If you're a Bill of Lading, a freight invoice, or a fuel surcharge and get near me at the end of the month - you get billed. Hope you enjoy your down time. I know what you mean about winter. It gets plenty cold in Ohio - I don't want to be any further north. It would be worth a question to your boss - telecommuting - might put an idea in his head. How Socrates? Give him

I think - and I could be wrong - that the government doesn't have the authority to force you out. At least not under the circumstances of a nature disaster. The government can keep you from returning, can order you to stay in - like during a quarantine or marshall law curfews. I'm not so sure you can be forced to leave your own property.. It is sad - his loss and everyone elses as well.
