The seat belt law is a puzzler to me too. Motorcyclist don't have to wear a helmet - it's unconstitutional. But you have to wear a seat belt. I wear both. Still, a person has a right to be dumb.

Tee-hee - good one Dr. Guy. I wonder if I could buffalo my co-workers into this - they have to by the first round the next time a get a papercut. Stay safe MasonM. Give Socrates' a lovin from me.
It's quite in Lebanon, Ohio too!
I ditto KellyW's response. I like your stories.
We talked about it a few years ago. What we have was not expensive - but - I wouldn't have spent much more anyway. He was surprised that I didn't want a different one. I told him there so many other things we could spend the money on. So, we took a get-away weekend and he surpised me with a new fishing rod & a pair of earings instead. We still talk about that weekend.
Our oldest is in Iraq too. I don't fully understand either. He's tried to explain - it has to do with the duty, honor, country code. I haven't been in a situation like theirs where the stakes are so high. It's not the same as my employer counting on me - so much more than that. My family counts on me - but - at I don't feel like it's the same thing as what he's talking about. Why are we still there? Hmm - I get my hackles up - I think because
General Patton: "Attack rapidly, ruthlessly, viciously, without rest, however tired and hungry you may be, the enemy will be more tire, more hungry. Keep punching." We need to wake up.
OK - I'm confused. Are you trying to: lose wt?- sounds like this meal should keep the hunger pains away for awhile gain wt? - what the heck - burp again & have some dessert eat a healthier diet? - maybe some fruit 3 cloves of garlic - WOW - at least the vampires we keep away.
Hey! Just never you mind! I'm not a kiss and tell kind of gal! But I will say I've been married twice. fiesty, marriage doesn't count - we all know that married people don't do the nasty! Oh yes we do (the present Mr. Feisty) & yes we did (the former Mr. Feisty) - a lot! <img src="../images/smiles/joke.
Hmm - point taken Bakerstreet. I wouldn't know her without the rudeness. When I let myself get past the rudeness - she often has a good point. My Husband likes O'Reilly (me too!) and yells at him to shut-up & let the other guy finish his sentence. We also like Glenn Beck - he uses a little more humor.

Geez - I hope you get there safely. My Husband told me to stay back far enough so I can see the trucker in his mirrors - that's where I signal I'm passing. I'll zip by more quickly now! Thanks for the advise. How's Scorates?
I don't care for the way she goes about making her point. Too much venom for my taste. Unfortunate - she isn't dumb & could make better arguments without the rudeness.
Geez - I'm leading a sheltered life! Well, I'll add it to my trivia knowledge. Mickey Ds = McDonalds. Wally World = Wal-mart (my husband calls them Wall-Fart).
Star Wars! Maybe you can nuke some popcorn. Hey, what's a Wally World? I don't think I've seen any in Ohio.
Commendable job on the generators! So, where did you tell Socrates you were? Did he believe your story?
Ohio - the Buckeye State! I like it here. Lived in Texas for a few years.
You're traveling at the speed of light and you turn on your headlights - does anything happen?
Glazed donut in a cup of coffee!
I vote for the AF diet tech. He/she isn't trying to sell you a magazine. Adding protein to a salad sounds sensible. Maybe you can do some health snacking to keep things in balance. I'm not much for dieting - I try to stay away from the junk food. Start everyday "new" - you can't fix yesterday anyway - so try not to beat yourself up over it. Hope you and your kids get a full-length visit next time. Good luck. <img src="../images/sm
We use a squirt gun - it works well. Kittys love to help with all kinds of things. Glad Socrates' is adjusting to life on the road. Does your company read cat-paw-printing?
My Grandmother had a spanking policy and my Mom followed it. If what your child is doing is dangerous (running into the street type stuff) then he/she gets the spanking. Now she was speaking of a spanking - - - NOT a beating. A few firm - not torturous - swats on the bottom. I recall an incident by the railroad track - I was about 4 - 5 at the most. I can remember the "breeze" of the train. I have a more vivid memo
I don't care for old Warren. I bet the list of wannabes would be a long one. I'm more of a Jimmy Stewart, William Holden, James Garner, Lee Marvin, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson kind of girl. In my eyes, my husband is a composite of all of them. I'm a lucky woman!
Did you see Glenn Beck's TV show last night? He did a vacation ad for the middle east - it was hilarious. Stupidity costs - if you're a jackass on vacation in a hot spot - pay up for the rescue - no one forced you to go. p/s Bugged-eyed Nancy would complain if we were paying.
Iconoclast - you read my mind. We have an elderly gentleman neighbor that had a similar problem at an apartment building he lived in. Well, he's a big John Phillip Sousa fan - yep - marching band music. Some of Sousa big hits were: The Stars and Stripes Forever, Semper Fidelis, and The Washing
