Yeah, I agree. Normal is a bit too easy. I have never lost a game at the normal setting. The next level up "challenging" is a quite a bit better.

That was it. You guys are awesome. I had to add the construction module back and may be life support. I am still looking for the option CraigHB was talking about. No worries, I can manage that much. Thanks again.
I have modified a constructor with a couple of warp drives - very simple, so that it can get to the destination more quickly, but when it arrives, the construct option is not available. I have to do an upgrade to Consturctor in order for the "Construct" option to appear. This takes a few more turns. Is this a bug or by design?
I did experience crashes after upgrading to the 1.3 beta, but never experience one single crash after I upgraded my nvdia video driver to the latest version. You may want to try that first.
Amensotep had put it quite succinctly by reciting the fact of life. However, the question remains; should art (if we agree to call a game as art) imitate life? Are we attempting to define the universal truth of good and evil? I suggest that there also be the presence of action and re-action, or cause and effect. Evil may be dealt with in evil ways. Being always good defies what is real.
The is a very good post - I must say. I thoroughly enjoy the game with its seemingly endless possibilities. I did run into Stykman22's game when playing good and were ultimately ganged up by the Torians and Arcean. There is an unnerving parallel to our world as we know it; in that it is actually easier to be evil than to be good. The take no prisoner approach seemed to work better in the game than otherwise. For example, it is the fastest way to acquire technology. May be a more balance
