The Dark Canuck
I really hope it's not dead. With a few exceptions (Dragon Age II, Starcraft II, a few "classics"), every game I've bought recently would fall under the category of "middle market". This is due to several things: my preferred genres (strategy, role-playing), my available money, and my general tastes. Solid gameplay is worth more (a lot more) than the latest graphics), and the type of games that I enjoy (particularly the Paradox strategy games) quite simply don't have the mass appeal to be mor
I had the same issue here. Impulse worked, firewalls setup to allow it, etc. Uninstalling and re-installing fixed it for me.
Ok, a two-parter here. First, I got the Damsel in Distress quest. Set off with my sovereign to the bandit camp, attacked... and lost. Sovereign teleported out, so everything's ok. Ok, my game crashed. And I think this one's your problem. Because it required an unusual set of steps to cause the crash, similar to the shipbuilding issue you noted. First, I upgraded a ship in the shipbuilder. Then, I realised I made an error in creating the ship, declared it obsolete, upgraded the ship again, and tried to save the new ship with the same name. The game crashed. I'm pretty sure my drivers are up to date, although my page file may be a little small, I don't really know.
