Safely Remove Hardware problems for HDD in PC Hardware WinCustomize Forums

I've got a problem ejecting an external harddisk using Safely Remove Hardware icon. It pop up a dialog box. "Problem Ejecting USB Mass Storage Device, The device 'Generic volume' cannot be stopped right now. Try stopping the device again later." I already close the applications that are using the harddisk. I also tried "chkdsk" the external HDD. It said that... Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. Chkdsk may run if this volume is dismounted first. ALL OPENED H
