My thoguhts, some of which I have heard before: 1) First payment made immediately (Before tech's trade), so you much have the at least a single payments worth on hand to pay. (this covers absolutely absurd values). 2) Declaring war absolves they person you are declaring war ON from having to pay you, but the United Plant still requires agreesors to pay off their debt. So if YOU declare war, you still must make payments until paid off

You win the your Evil award :-) Hadn't thought of trying that, but yeah personally I would like to see a negative growth if food is less then Pop.
I have duplicated this twice more. Can't swear on the decommission/destroyed, but mine have fought and combat with problems. I do still CTD fairly regularly anyways, so destruction may have caused CTD, but will attempt to duplicate and see. But definalty seems to be a issue of checking availability when button is clicked, not necessarily when orders are processed
To me, I still really thing the LEP should be based of the percentage of habitable planets colonized. Thus one a rare/rare tiny map, You start noticing the hit on even your second/third colony if there are only 20 habitable planets. Likewise on an Insane Abundant/Abdunant you might see the same penalty when you have 300 planets. My personal thoughts on mechanics. Each planet gives you
Setup: Have a ship with high move (to make it easier) Have a ship (you want to duplicate in orbit of planet). Tell ship with high move to move long distance. Quickly go click on planet with ship to duplicate, and start clicking 'eject' to launch ship. it does not 'launch' until they other ship finishes moving, but I have been able to get up to ten copies of my 'ship to
For distant star base, I have found what seems to be an exploit to me, if you can build a ships with multiple constructor modules (the more the better). If you use them all save the last one (so ship still exists), then upgrade ship to a different model, it will have ALL the constructors of that model. So if you have 2 models wiith multiple contructor modules, then you can send A ship to remote location, and upgrade all you want, for a
Hmm they do repair faster in orbit, hadn't actually noticed that, will have to test. Personally the biggest change I would like to see, is the option to 'repair' in a yard. (likewise upgrade). So that instead of building a new ship, a ship could go into the yard and get repaired at a fairly fast rate (or hell even at the % damaged vs Build time). As 'free' repair the existing is ok,
For me so far while I prefer Insane /rare/rare maps to be hug but not too many planets (with lots of space between folks) The 'planets' I can manage fairly ok and while I could list improvements, I can live with what is. Now Starbases I find very annoying. Changes I would like to see: 1) Starbase 'build alll' Probably only an option after 'ring' has been selected, but after that a check
That is a 'bug' (or feature) of any of the free ships designs. If you obsolete the 'default' design you do not get the items. I have seen the same issue with free drones for which ever trait it is that gives your the free drone, and expect it (though hante every had the Ideology trait) for the trait that gives your merchants free protection. Short answer it dont' obsolete the 'default ships' or do so
Beta 6 patch 2 release notes: Balance Reduced the large empire approval penalty <span style=
[quote quoting="post"] I"m good and irked at the moment; my buddy and I just finished discussing this in detail, so I've confirmed I'm not the only one that feels this way. 1) Pirates. What the #$%(. No rules for pirates? No supply? No cost? Just appear in the middle of nowhere and start raiding? This is "raging barbarians" from Civ 5, and we hate it. I don't want to DISABLE pirates, I want them to play by THE SAME RULES AS I D
Please allow control of the zoom level in the top down view. While overall my favorite view, it starts out ok (a bit too far zoomed out, but good for begining) but rapidly zooms way to close in and often NO ships are actually visible as the dance around each other and I see the occasional beam/missile flash across the screen. If the top down had a controllable zoom level, (whether one of a few pre-set, say close, medium, far; or
Thanks for good work, and for records Bug affected here if ends up you still need prefs.ini (or others). Guess I will go get sleep :-)
Ditto same bug here. Have verified (had 4 files to be deleted and redownloaded also). Have disabled (and then removed) Mods. Have tried Terran, Custom built race, Yor
Ditto: Was wondering if I had changed something or was Beta6, glad (or sorry) to see it was not just me. Please fix/correct/ or adjust.
When managing starbases or planets, you can CLICK the left or right arrows by the name at the top to scroll through the list. Please make the keyboard arrow keys also allow you to scroll through them
Guess its too late to re-design, but things liek 'FactionStart' really should be variables (like 'IsHomeWorld') Either that or wonder how hard it would be to make the itnerperter under stand 'udapte' AKA Civ5 ====================
First: If Mods are not working this is a known issue, if your My Documents is in a non-standard location: A workaround is to edit: Tools\ DataCompiler.bat CampaignCompiler.bat CoreCompiler.bat ParticleCompiler.bat So that: SET moddir=%docsdir%\My Games\GalCiv3\Mods is hard coded to the right directory (Example: SET moddir=D:\Users\myusername\My Documents\My Games
I have had this issue only on VERY large (maybe 20+) planet sizes. (usually when 'tweaking' a home world or so for cheats fun :-) And, I have noticed at times, it clearly seems to be related to number of usable tiles, since I have had some that say, the first 2 teraforms wont work, but then the laters ones WILL allow some tiles to be recovered, and (larger) planets, that nothing can be recovered.
Thanks Primal I think the stamp may be perfecting what I am looking for
Is it possible to edit the type of terrain (Im guessing) in game (as opposed to say cartographer) Raise/Lower Land : changes elevation Summer/Twilight : changed 'Enviromet) But is it possible to change the terrain: (Land, Chasm, water, desert, etc) I see reference to 'PlaceTerrain' but the following does not seem to work: Map <br
Is it possible for a object to have one of either two prerequisites? So: Field Plate: High quality chain mail, with a few select plates Prerequiste Masterwork Chainmail OR Light Plate. Or would two items have to be made (even if cloned), one for prereq: Masterwork chainmail, one for Light plate
First new so sorry if I have missed I did try searching but couldn't find anything. Is it possible to 'delevel' a champion. (remove experience and levels (and corresponding traits). My ideal that I would really like is a spell/item 'Rebirth': That resets the Champion to level 1 with no class set (can't remember proper name here it work but Mage, Assassin, Commander, etc). </p
A long time Stardock user, here but decided to get the sword of the stars expansion and so grab impulse and give it a try. Small side note the default skin is bad... all the windows come up as black on black, now the HIGHLIGHT selection is readable (luckily I was able to get through with this enough to disable the default skin, and the standard windows style skin is usable. However, now when ever I got to purchase software, I get to the my cart
