Wombat - i had a beagle growing up. he used to leap up, sink his teeth into whatever was drying on the clothesline, and swing wildly 'til it came down into the dirt. my mom loved him dearly. my golden doesn't do that kind of stuff. he just eats mail, newspapers, and wood furniture. sweet dog though, and always extremely apologetic after he munches. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smi

dogs adore me. i've never been quite sure that that's a compliment, in view of some of the other things that they like!

JAFO is arrested and cited for impersonating a Texan BTW nowadays we saunter - moseying is too old fashioned.

on behalf of all of our family at Johnson Space Center, i want to thank you all for the kind thoughts expressed here.
probably, but as a fashion trend i don't think it'll catch on.
my current bumper sticker reads: " God loves you. Everyone else thinks you're an -------." bumper sticker from 20 years past: " B52 bomber crews keep it up longer, penetrate farther, and deliver a larger payload" @ JAFO Texgoogle yielded " Just Another Frickin Okie"
that's why in Texas we hate newbie out-of-state muggers. They do stupid things like bringing a knife to a gunfight!
#2 - limited response: running Dashboard, i subvert the use of the "time is busy/tentative" input to force appointments into two different colors ( normal text color versus low priority text color).
werewolf - my comment was definitely not directed at your post, and i'm sorry if i ruffled any feathers. my comment was mainly aimed at an assertion that i thought was flowing thru the thread: that having no health insurance = not seeing a doctor if you're sick in stone-hearted America. The emergency room at the county hospital near me is filled with poor people every evening. they get seen, and get the same care i would although they often have a sizeable wait. They often get their meds free as
i've lived in America over half a century, have sometimes qualified as poor, sometimes as upper middle class, sometimes spent years with no health insurance, and have received acceptably good- to -excellent health care my entire life. i pointedly did not wait for big brother to bring it to my door and hand it to me.
i believe these fellows have posted on the board a few times.
the sixteen year overage in the Hundred Years' War - was that due to inflation?
i would like to have a Registry monitor program, but i want one that logs reg change transactions instead of popping up messages. i'm betting that d1 wears a belt with his suspenders. just kidding, i'm a bit paranoid meself when it comes to my PC. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" border=

FL exponding in clear logic - what's the world coming to? Every word that you said was excellent, and i hope that the powers that be adopt your suggestions.
re: the war - Iran. read the whole thread and for once both hawks and doves ( most of 'em) spoke to the issue with facts and good, thoughtful answers. hope for us yet there is. The issue paxx raised about Kurdish nationalism as a potentially destabilizing influence across several national boundaries is a very real issue that has to be considered ( just look at the Tamils in Sri Lanka and southern I
"and select 'Today Theme'". didn't know that greater than and less than were metacharacters.
WOM reminds me of another old adage, about wearing a chainmail fist inside of that velvet glove.
now if i could just learn to practice what i preach.
"if thine enemy is hungry, feed him. If he thirsts, give him to drink, for in so doing thou heapest burning coals upon his head" meekness and humility sometimes cut more deftly than a sword. and sometimes they win over a friend.
