You make the game more challenging by improving the AI, not by eliminating all the players' strategic options. I am in agreement in a way. I don't necessarily 'mind' that the devs are attempting to keep this game rolling in the replayability factor, sometimes though I wish they would leave certain things alone, like the stock markets as they used to be... among

Now that was an interesting one. I had a +700% Research tile, two +100% Research tiles, a +100% Manufacturing tile and a +100% Morale bonus tile, all on my homeworld. Unfortunately the star systems nearby really sucked so I hit Ctrl-N to try to get a better position. Ahhh, the cheese factor! I learned long ago not to look a gift horse in the mouth when it comes to having a good handful of bonus tiles on the homeworld. There are just too many variables

I'm just going to send you guys a saved game and see what you make of it. Aside from that, it isn't gamebreaking so I plan on logging a full weekend of playing... i.e. it's not that big a deal really. Regardless, you will receive my save game from this one. Have a good weekend people! Oh,

(who will lead the new Gamers Political party to a landslide victory in the 2012 election). You do know the world is going to blow up in 2013 right? Such a short time in office for a governing body that is actually of the people, by the people, and for the people. Just thought of something though... that means we have to rush develop GC III before the

Do you have the 1.5x.072 build? Of course... . Come on now Kryo, I may be a full blown idiot at times, especially when it comes to PC's, but I know better than that! Besides, I wouldn't even be able to play if I hadn't updated. As I stated, the feature does everything i

Go over to gamespot and look at the review for GC2 DA... somewhere on the screen you will see "show similar games"... click this and presto, a nice little list of similar games. Wow, am I this bored today?

Specifically this is what they could do: Or maybe they could go to Hollywood and spend tons of loot hiring A-list actors like Matt Damon, Adrienne Brody, and Gary Sinise and just do a live action cut sequence with a bunch of different scenes to emulate the various invasion forces and available invasion tactics... Oh, but wait a minute... I think this is already being done. Star Trek XI... a prequel to the original TV series... <img src="http://imag

Okay, still nothing... I can therefore assume that by some freaky quirk of the nature of the universe I am the only one playing this game who has this issue. If that is the case then what should I do as far as bringing the info to the attention of the powers that be? Kryo... do the devs just need a zipped save game on this one or what? I know I'm not crazy but the feature definitely doesn't work for me. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/SadAngry.gif" border=0 align="absm

I do not mean to rain on your parade, or upset you in any way. Nothing you have said has rained on my parade nor upset me. I unfortunately feel the need to 'express' some sort of verbal relief from time to time. Comments on treason would be the very last thing in the world to upset me, so by all means, express away and enjoy your vantage point among other things. edit: Although comments like this... hint as to what I do for a living on the

nasa has discovered that mars does have an ocean Nasa knows more about Mars than they tell you... our Moon too as far as that goes. You see, it all comes down to basic things like religious dogma and our society being unable to grasp something that would quite literally shake the foundations of organized religion to it's foundations. Do I believe there's alien life out there, hell yes. Do I believe that there are ancient 'alien' structures on Mars and

If you mean the launch tile picker, it worked fine for me last time I used it. [Commander] [5 Game Winner] [Over 5 Battles] [Very Evil] [Obscene] Yes, that's what I meant and no, it isn't working for me. Everything highlights the way it should and it will let you 'select' which parsec you want to launch from, but it doesn't actually retain the setting. Still spits ships out of the default parsec. I guess I'm the only one huh? <img src="ht

How about the OPTION to destroy habitat, then? Fair enough. I wasn't reading past into the "except in certain situations" part... my bad I'm just at a loss as to why you would want to destroy a colony yet still allow the planet to be habitable, unless maybe you were looking to trade or sell the planet?

destroying a colony should not destroy the planets' habitability; except for maybe certain situations Why on Earth wouldn't you want the ability to 'destroy' the planet's habitability? I think it's a great feature as it allows you to make the planet useless to your enemy. Sometimes a planet 'outlives' it's usefulness, or it could just be a matter of not wanting the enemy to have it. I can think of a dozen other reasons where being able to make the plane

the 2 techs befor that very last one didnt give me a new weapons component even thought the tech said it should.. From what I remember, there are certain techs that are more like 'precursor' techs in that they help you along to the next level but don't actually give you anything 'physical', like a stepping stone. I could be wrong of course. I do know that I've researched to the end of beam weapons and am rewarded with the Doom Ray, so there is an 'absol

Look likes you can get some special weapons if you choose the "Evil" alignment, but I have never used them. What are these special weapons exactly? I've never played anything but EVIL so I really don't know what goodies I am missing out on, or what goodies I have that they don't have.

Did you get a Hair cut? Hah! I know what you mean but from the opposite side. Had long hair for fifteen years, cut it all off a few years ago, then decided last year to let it all grow back. Friend of mine I've known for 10 years just recently asked me, "are you letting your hair grow?". Now come on... how could someone even begin to justify asking that? I ac

For now, the ones I like... in no particular order: 1: Civilization IV 2: Age of Mythology 3: Sim City/Rush Hour 4: Pirate Hunter 5: The Sims (1 and 2, mainly to build houses, but the 'sims' were interesting for a while) 6: Warhammer 40K and all the expansions of course 7: Diablo and expansions Of course there are more that I like but these are the ones I still play the most, although it's been quite a long time since I played Diablo or Age of Mythology.

If you've updated to the most recent 'update' then your issue will be fixed with the release of the newest update, scheduled for tomorrow I believe.
