Wel its been a long time since I 1st posted this and got side tracked by college (graphic design) but due to that I think that I can better do this now :) I also noticed that SS is alot different now!

I don't use IconX, but I do have it installed. I loaded it, and checked the IconX Settings dialog > Options, and I see an option to "Run at startup" Do you guys not have that option? I uninstalled it then reinstalled it like said above and that madde it visible Thanks gu

Ok I started over on a transparent background, here's the preview I also saved each individual piece on a transparent background as a layer, is that right??

I had also made another one with rounded corners, well how do I cut it up w/o having some of the white background in it? The other one was easy b/c it did'nt have rounded corners...
do I have to save it as .skin or something to be able to open it in ss?

On your new image Use the selection tool and select the part of the image you want to use for the User Pane and right click ans goto new layer via cut. Repeat with all the pieces you need and you have each section on a separate layer Ok I'm lost, what do u mean user plane and right click, I know what right click it but I'm confused of what it has to do with the start menu...
Ok I realized that I needed to make it biger so I had room to cut for the shut off log off...
Ok here is what I got, will this work ok? I'm gonna go cut it up now
