so when should we b seein ths new patch? looks good by the way the release of the changelog means very soon. Maybe this week? Lots of nice changes there. I'll be honest though and say that I'm slightly disappointed that Capital ships research weren't changed to be separate research items per ship. But such is life <img id="ImageRe

The ship in the first pic is sexy.
but galciv or get jetnguns and space rangers 2 that is basically your only option. maybe gods lands of infinity: se, but I find jetnguns to be much more entertaining Yes those caught my eye.
If anyone doesn't know the Iron Man background story, but who doesn't!, it probably shows too much, though it's a trailer nonetheless. Link
I was immediately reminded me of Battlefleet Ghotic designs when I first saw the TEC Kol in game.

I have to admit, that even though it looks all cutesy and stuff it looks like a very ambitious project. The scale just seems mind blowing. And I have to agree with what someone said a while back, tho the name escapes me. But he said it takes a man like Will Wright to bring innovation to the genre. And I just have to agree with that.

I'm not to keen on the OPs idea, but I wouldn't mind seeing MOO like events, such as the space crystal, or ameba. Or asteroids that threatens to wipe out an entire planet.
Tech for Trade Ports early, and use plenty of those.
you can get a new bios by orderinga new bios chip. you can get them online, just have to know what type of chip your motherboard has. it's really easy to remove and put in a new one. As for your power supply, 500W I'm not sure is enough power man. A lot of times I have hardware errors on other computers was cause of a poor power supply or lack of power. It's why I always go for power supplys around 700-800W. Anyway. Hope that helps
I'd personally like to see the Gauss turrets turn in to more of a high velocity - high powered, long range rifle, I think that'd be closer to what a gauss cannon would be like if it were imagined in reality. High Damage, Long Range (Half grav well?), Long Reload time, single shot, increased tactical slot use or something similar.
Point taken.
anyone have shadowrun? any comments on it? You need an Xbox Live subscription if you want any value out of the PC version. Plus it only runs on Vista. It ended up my shelve faster then any other game I've ever bought. Interesting gameplay however, if there were any servers to play on. <
Fortify, fortify, fortify. Oh, and did i mention Fortify? Why?.. Because you KNOW sooner, or later the AI will research Insurgency. The AI may not attack you, but those damn pesky pirates WILL At the end of my last 12 hour game, the five AI in the game was
I still like a box and disks... No matter how convenient digital download is, its the feeling on having it in your hand that gives most purchasers satisfaction. And the 10% discount should be standard all the time (on new games), they are saving mucho bucks not having to make and ship hard copies to stores.... $26.95 for COH isn't bad (It is a year old now), I saw the collectors edition (metal case, DVD)@ Walmart or was it Best Buy for $3

I started a medium size system with three stars and 8 players. No flagships, medium resources, pirates. I created three teams: team one was Me and another AI on Medium. The other two teams were three AIs with one of the AI on each team set to Hard. The first thing I noticed when I started the game was that my ally's home world was only one asteroid away from my home world. There were three stars in my game, but somehow all of the teams started at
What driver are you using for the 7800? If it's old you could try the beta available at nzone. http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_downloads_rel70betadriver.html Check motherboard/sound drivers? Onboard sound?
Remember to check that you have the latest hotfix installed. The ships not firing shouldn't be happening outside of the Tutorial, and even then it's, from what I know, only been observed in the tutorial if people skip ahead of a step.
They've said that it'll be at the end of summer before we see Beta 3 with Multiplayer function.
Something which we haven't seen discussed a whole lot to date is Research. I had a look through the search feature and didn't come up with much, but some of the more recent first game impression threads have had a mention or two. From the looks of it the two TEC research trees are completed too quickly, in the way that there isn't sufficient research items available. Something else I saw mentioned was that some feel research is too fast, while others feels it takes too long a t
It happens rather frequently to me as well. I grabbed two SS, the white dot is where I clicked with the mouse. Tilting the camera slightly and it sends the ships out of the gravity well if you click in the same spot.
