I think the most amazing part of this is that Simcity 4 is like 3 years old and still selling that well? So why the hell did EA fuck up Simcity "5" so bad? RRGh.
Uranium - 235
Hahahahaahaha.
One thing that HAS bothered me about the game is that gravity wells just don't feel very big. Granted you'd have to change the build distances of everything, but especially around stars - the antimatter regen and central nature of stars makes me think they'd be the site of huge, epic, powerful battles. But the star gravity well is tiny indeed. I mean... ITS A STAR. On another note, if you figure out how to stop the AI from being cowards all the time, go for it.
Speeding a school zone is worse than piracy. This thread needs a hefty dose of a fucking clue and a slight reality check. We're talking about photocopying a piece of paper someone else wrote.
Wow. Unlike 99.999% of any kind of fan fiction (yes, you who is reading this, your story fucking blew), this is actually somewhat decent. The writing is a little rambly and meandering, but it sure beats the hell out of anything else anyone has written.
Your "screenshot" showed 95 weeks to research enhanced miniaturization. Thats some slow research...
I mushed together photoshops using ntitial gametime, some old games, and some cheats. Notice how the Thalans are building one of their 'starter' buildings (ie: in Week 3 or prior), but I've already somehow declared war with the Iconians and have warships built? :P
I hear a lot of "Its a 4x game, so it should take awhile", when in reality its a mix of 4x and traditional strategy, so in trying to cater to both crowds it must address this concern. It needs a faster game speed meaning quicker build times, research times, lowering resource costs...and only slightly, unit movement and fights because too much on this ruins it.
Faster speed also turns it into a moronic clickfest. Half the point of
Here's a picture I took that showcases a bug I've viewed for all the races. If I create a fleet, sometimes one ship doesn't want to join the rest of the fleet. I moved the units inside the gravity well but the one outlier there doesn't want to move. It's happened to me quite a bit so I imagine it's easy to replicate. HTH.
I've had something like that happen. I made a fleet of Cobalts with my Kol as the fleet leader, an

WELL, after a full investigation... it comes from none other than my purchased copy of Galactic Civilizations Ultimate Edition. Guess what. Exploration isn't random. It's fixed at the beginning of the game. I've been playing on a Huge Random and out of the 15-20 properties I own, only ONE ever actually had a planetary event discovered ("High Security Protocols"). The fact that the AI each starts with an artifact in their second planet pissed me off so much I ran some tests and determined that you can just save the game, explore the planet 100%, if you don't find anything, reload and ignore it forever. It's also a c
the danger with trade stations is that you wont have enough slots left for tech centers (on medium 2 small maps in short al the time) 1 trade station per planet gives hell lotsa income i had 8 planets 1 trade station per planet income was around 90/sec refinery ships are nice, but need some serious thinknig b4 placing them 1. what planets are adjecent to the 1 your building it at? (refinery ships wil move 1 phase lane to get
On that note, it seems odd, that having 10 military labs doesn't let me research some lame T1 tech faster, or even 10 T1 techs at once... neh.
Seriously, if you can't handle trash talk in an online game, then you should reconsider going online in the first place. I'm not saying this to insult you. It's common knowledge that in every online game there is, you got tons of trash talking. You have to grow a thicker skin if you are going to survive online gaming, I can promise you that you will play players who will make these guys sound polite.
Ugh, no kidding. This is like
I don't much care for 1up after their Neverwinter Nights 2 review fiasco, where they picked a reviewer who openly disliked the D&D rule set and bashed the game because of it. They then pulled his review and replaced it with one that wasn't any more credible.
NWN2 was ass.
Blugh, I HATED that "cloudy" nebula background thing. It was WAY too bright, too gaudy. My favorite backgrounds are the slightly-blue mostly black one, the red one, and MAYBE the green one. Space is dark, I don't mind some color, but jeez, some of these are so bright I can only assume it's DAY no matter WHAT time it is on my planets.
I'm still trying to find what's so unobjectionable about changing the meaning of a word that meant "joyous" to "a male who has sex with males"...

I miss the earth so much I miss my wife It's lonely out in space On such a timeless flight And I think it's gonna be a long long time Till touch down brings me round again to find I'm not the man they think I am at home Oh no no no I'm a rocket man I mean, that alone should answer a lot of questions about the space-navies... A save/reload wouldn't help a memory leak. Generally nothing short of a reboot (flushing volatile memory) will 'cure' a memory leak. Chances are what you're seeing is some sort of game cache filling up, perhaps your pagefile?
I honestly can't wait for Stardock to break out of just their 'strategy' type games and apply their vision and quality to some other genres. I have an absolutely phenomenal design in my head for a multiplayer-style FPS game that would mesh beautifully with Stardock's devotion to overarching strategy (thus far at least). The theory behind the game is that both (or more) teams are placed on a map of enormous proportions. Each team is given an irreplaceable, portable spawnpoint that, if de

IIRC the "longest route" is the shortest route between your two farthest-separated, linked, trade centers.
