Odd, maybe there was a conflict. I don't think any of the other mods changed the treaty file at all.
pheonixstorm
That mod didn't work last I tried it. Also, the treaties are supposed to be both ways. @Franky999 What I am after is a program that already has all the base information so I don't have to type everything out or copy/paste what I need. I can write a program to do this but it is very tedious and I would rather have the source code from whatever tools are used by the GC3 devs to load/save the information so all I would have to do then is build the GUI in VC++ or
So here is something for everyone. Anyone remember the very bugged version of Master of Orion 3?? The developer only did a few patches before giving up on the game. Game breaking bugs were left in it and so what could have been the best of that franchise was left to rot if not for the games community. There were two members of the community that patched the game as best they could to fix the worst bugs while the rest of the community modded the text files to make the game better than
Its more along the lines of all resources beyond the basics. Having the AI building farms should make the mid to late game more enjoyable. Now if only someone could get the econ, culture, and research treaties to work right...
iirc there are other buildings that should give 1 IP every 10 turns as well as those labeled for 1/5
as far as the 64 bit issue more broadly goes... it just depresses me, the whole subject. i love gaming, but i hate Windows, but i hate Apple more. it's not some fancy technological argument i have. since the original iMacs, Apple has designed its products (both hardware casing and GUI) like its consumers were kindergartners. but now Windows is going that way too, and i hate it. i miss the days of the DOS prompt. i'm just whining
Vista is in the same boat as win 95 and ME it seems. Win 3.1 was ok, 95 sucked, 98 was good and fairly stable, ME blew chunks, XP is stable for the most part but hoggish, and now Vista is even more hoggish but really sucks... Microsloth strikes again! Wonder how well this game would run under linux... I have Vista and XP pro duel boot and GC2 DA is the only game I have that craps out anymore. Even Supreme Commander runs well with all its glitz turned on and im on an outdated h
I'm having the same problem now.. are you using the optional textures as well? I just uninstalled those and defraged, gonna see if they go away.
wow thats really helpful... so what KIND of problem.
Simple fact here... DL is far easier on a low/high system than DA. Just wish i could get a quad core though
hmmm no problem like this on a crap 6800 w/ 128mb vc lol Though I do wonder why this game is such a memory hog... a nice em allocation clean up should improve things tremendously, Unless this game is written in basic or pascal then nothing would help hehe
Havent had a DL mega yet, but did get a minor mega. Jagged something popped up and took about 118 planets away from all the civs including 15 of my own. Stupid minor race... taking awhile but i'm slowly taking back my high end worlds. Another minor race has actually expanded to 5 worlds. Not sure if they were colonies or invasions though as they are a long way from my borders and i have other wars to occupy my time with.
Actually, this "bug" is a nice feature. It is a nice way to keep some people from reloading (constantly) now that it is out in the open and also can be used as an exploit for some people who want more of a challenge from the AI I myself really dont care if it gets fixed before GC3. There are more important features and bugs to fix in the game than this.
Iwas thinking it was more demanding but wanted to see if anyone else had a problem like this on a huge uni before crying BUG BUG!
Like the eta so far but having a bit of a sputtering problem while playing. Havent looked too deep into it yet as I forgot to not Alt-Tab out of the game (crash!) Anyone else having sputtering problems while looked around a huge universe? Didn't have this problem under dread lords even on a fully coonized huge universe. adm64 3200 1gb pc3200 geforce 6800 128mb wanted the nice 7800 best buy had on sale last week for 250 but alas no cash <img src="http://images.stardock.c
graphics are nothing if the gameplay sucks. Porshe on the outside, gremlin on the inside lol what are games coming to these days
I can see Vista turning into the new ME. Big changes but sucked more than win95 lol win 3.1 good win95 bad win98 good winME bad winXP good Vista?? probably bad This is the pattern I see. I think MS may be screwing up vista for gaming so they can push more 360s
I would rather have both Moo4 and galciv3. Both games are completely different. Of all the Moo games I played though (2 & 3) I prefer 3 as perverted as it sounds. Hell, my favorite 4x is still Stars! and its a decade out of date (not to mention 16bit lol)
actually, the game doesnt get updated that much and is in a playable alpha state more or less. I've watched the project off and on since early 05 i think. Its an interesting game but so far I would rather play Moo3 until FO gets up there in development.
for a good look at space carriers you can play any wing commander game, watch BSG (Battlestar Galactica)/ Stargate, or even Star Wars I think the correct term should be battle carriers lol At least in the SW games and in some RPG systems you can find a typical carrier that lacks most if not all OFFENSIVE armaments and only has minor defensive weapons. Even a modern carrer today only has light defensive systems.
this was a feature in moo3 i liked.. though like everything else is got short changed
actually, if your not in any wars and your neighbors are, built core ships and sell em
hehe unless you own the copmany computers, then what ya gonna do.. fire yourself for playing games on company time? lol
If you think about it, Civ4 has borders and the option to tell the ai to go away (or was it 3...) so why not gc2 or da?
i want my carriers!!! lol I had fun with cariers and missile fleets in moo3. Wish GC2 had a blend of moo3 space/ground combat with GC2s sweet ship creation. The gc2 ground combat is just too cheesy.
