Jafo, thank you for the response, however I fear that the damage has been done, so with a heavy heart, I type the following: Of course I respect his right to an opinion, but in a time of strong emotions such as this, twisting something that was intended to help the healing process and further antagonizing those who are suffering is just what I said: disgusting. I also don't see where smarta$$, uninformed comments such as he posted fall into the realm of "adult, mature discussion", hence

paxx - Terrorists main weapon is fear. That is the only thing that we can use against them, is fear... to make them afraid to repeat something like this ever again. What Frog is speaking of is not unthinkable. Allowing countries to harbor these "armies" under the pretense that their actions (terrorists) are not actions by the countries themselves is unthinkable. Not knowing if I've got five less family members as of today is unthinkable.
craeonics - As I said in the other thread: fu*k you ban me, because this disgusts me and I'd rathar not be a part of a place like this. I used to have the utmost respect for you and your work. As of now, it's all been deleted. You disgust me.
fu*k you... ban me... I don't give a sh*t anymore... letting comments like this go at a time like this make me sick.
So praise of our nation by someone from another country makes Americans arrogant? Great logic... This whole situation, the negative (and some disgusting) remarks regarding this post (and others) has made me rethink about being a member of this skinning community.
xpfreak - I'll look into it tonight. They definitely fit the format, and the Century and Quatrain headings seems to fit also.
I've studied his quotes for some while now, and I can't find one of them that begins with "In the city of God..." this is in three different books which contain all of his predictions and their translations... also, this does not follow the "format" of his predictions. So, drop the fear-monger routine: it's fake.
berzerka - Get over yourself. God forbid should someone take a little pride in their country. Tell me the last time that America has rubbed their pride in your face prior to this tragedy? America racing to the aid of others during times of crisis is untrue? Because that is what these statements boil down to. I am recently back from a several counrty visit, and I found *many* Europeans attitudes towards Americans disgusting. Of course, I'm not saying that all of them are like that, but
Nothing to do with this post, just wanted to be poster 100
RAM is a huge performance booster for minimal $$$ these days. I've maxed out a system per paycheck since prices hit rock bottom
I have to side with Frogboy on this one, and not just because we both have 'boy' in our nicknames. I have made myself quite unpopular with a few folks here because of my choice of OS and feverish defense of those who will bash the company who make it. Am I afraid that someone will get miffed at something I say and go and give my creations a bad rating? I really don't care, because this is just a hobby, something that I do for fun. Frogboy, on the other hand, pay's the bills with this, hence it i
Naa, the title is great... Kind of like "System of a down" ...
Well, being a gamer, I have to say that I can totally see a difference using a P4 1.8/Geforce 3 over any other system combo that I can slap together. But I have to say Frog, that at this point, you're right. How fast do you need to do something work-wise? At the 700MHz plus range, you're going to get your work done pretty fast regardless... btw - for all-around performance, I'd recommend an AMD 1.2+, but for sheer gaming power, the P4 1.8 is a benchmark killer.
Hey Fa65*BFh, Your links took me to the following sites (eventually): http://www.linuxsucks.com/ and (you'll love this one): http://www.mslinux.org/ -enjoy
...and anybody who can tell me what name goes in place of the question mark will be my personal hero. Nikky-Chikky-Waaky-Foon-Doo-Hoon-Doo-Waka-Zoo Peachy-Kee-Eee-Aaky-waaky-? Hint: This is a verse from a song. Really, it is.
Fa65*BFh - Ok... thinking of how to address that last one... Great logic, I like an OS that is made by a company that you loathe therefore I fall into this stereotype that you've created yourself. Seems to me that you are a victim of your own claims. Maybe you've bought into the anti-MS campaign that is sponsored by *Other Big Corporations* to try and convince you that MS is evil and must be stopped. Have you looked into any of the anti-MS press that you see on the Web? Like 9
jar OF Smuckers... ...doh!
AJ - All I've got is a jar Smuckers, but it's pretty much empty, will that do?
Woah! Lemme say it again: Woah! Looks like I've got myself a couple of playa' hata's... AJ - I can (and do) dig where you're coming from. We're on different ends of the same spectrum but are able to pretty much see where the other one is coming from... I can dig it... but Fa65*BFh... wow man, you've got some seriously bad juju coming off of you! I quit using ICQ waaaaaay before MSN's IM came out. It turned into a convaluted piece of poo. Too many things going on when all I want
Frank - Contrary to what AJ is saying, the app/hardware compatability in WinXP far exceeds Win2k. I won't argue AJ's claims of the games that he mentioned not running on his system, but on the 27 test systems that I run XP on, not one of those machines needed any 'tweaking' to get Max Payne or CounterStrike to run. Also, many of my friends who are on the beta program have reported better hardware compatability over Win2k. Plus, if you like to play old-school "DOS style" games, something that Win
paxx - the last time that I installed WindowBlinds XP, the skins were available via display properties, but no, they're not there prior ... as for the other, you can currently choose from Hotmail, MSN Mail, or Outlook Express to show up as a quick-link at the top of your start menu to access your email. I read that, through use of the API's, other software (Eudora, Lotus, AOL, Yahoo, ICQ...) can put themselv
Fa65*BFh - It's become apparent to me through this thread that you're letting your animosity towards Microsoft affect your overall opinion of XP. Is WinXP better than WinME? By far, yes. Is it better than Win2k? In many ways, yes? Is it worse than Win2k? I've yet to see an instance of that. Everything that you recently mentioned (IM, Hotmail...) is an option and is up to you to use it or not. Other companies are free to include in the install of their products the option to place links
radink - you've seen their "next OS"? I'd be willing to bet that what you saw or heard will be 99% different than what is shipped. At this stage of the game, it's purely speculation/ideas. I remember seeing screenshots of what "insiders" claimed were Windows XP screenshots.... I still don't get what sucks about XP... I've had no problems with WPA, it's very stable, it's compatable with more hardware/software than Win2k... You can turn off the themes if you don't like them, the CD burnin
I started using the speach recog features in Office about two weeks back, and at first it was touchy, but I continue to fine tune it to my speach patterns it's pretty good now. Way better than speach recog stuff that I've tried in the past.
Is Linux the best OS ever because you have to manually mount your removable drives, or is it the short list of games that you can play on it, or is it the not-so-frequent driver updates? I forgot... but I quit trying with Linux a while back...
