FlipNET - If I were Microsoft, I'd do the same thing regarding not releasing specifically what hardware #'s are used during the activation process. If they did publicly say what the exact components were, they'd also be handing hackers a blue print for a WPA crack. By not saying specifically what it is that goes into WPA allows MS to keep the hackers guessing. Sure there are cracks out today, but without the specifics, those same cracks may not work tomorrow.

Frogboy - What I was implying by saying that XP ia a gamers dream is that it plays far more games than Win2k ever will. Sure, most of the new games work in Win2k, but what about people who dig old-school apps? Like I go back every now and then and play the Ultima series, 1 - 8. When I ever have been able to get any of those old apps to run in 2k, there was no sound, video issues, etc., but in XP, they all run great... sound and all. Paxx - I have a patch for TR3 that *may* enable it to run on your 2k machine. It a compressed TR3 executable. http://communities.msn.com/MarkRabold It's in the files section, under games/game patches/tomb raider 3. It replaces your current Tomb3.exe. Paxx - I did a little testing this morning and was able to get every Tomb Raider to run, however, I only tried this on a Geforce 2 GTS. Also, TR3 and TR4 each required a patch, but XP's nifty "Compatability Mode" switch enabled all of the others to run great. btw - which TR are you playing? Oh yeah, as for the Product Activation hype that I see people ranting about: I've swapped out/upgraded everything on my machine except my motherboard and my NIC and have never been prompted to "call Microsoft" to re-install XP to verify anything. DaWebMassa - Wait until someone else solves the major problems? What major problems? XP is built on the Win2k(NT) kernel, and you're already running Win2k, so if anything, this kernel is at least as good as the Win2k kernel, but with fixes and updates. I've been using XP since Beta 1 and have yet to see a 'major problem' in my day-to-day use. The big thing that XP has over Win2k is app compatability. I know that this may not be a very popular notion, but I would gladly pay a monthly fee to be a member of this site if some premium services were offered to paying members. I pay $4.95 a month for a site that plans and keeps track of my workouts, and I've payed monthly membership fee's to several other sites in the past, but this is one community that I'd have no problem supporting via a monthly fee. I dunno, cap the download limit to 10 MB for non-premium members and give us access to some beta
