Will do - thanks for trying to help. Much appreciated. (:

Sorry it took my a few days to be able to try out this fix, and sadly, it didn't work. Here's my debug: Debug Message: Version v2.03 Twilight of the Arnor last updated on: Thu Jul 23 11:47:38 2009 Debug Message: Could not open reg key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE\Stardock\ComponentManager\Drengin.net\GalCiv2UL Debug Message: Could not open reg key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE\Stardock\ComponentManager\Drengin.net\GC2EU Debug Message:
Long time no post, it seems. Basically, after a while I decided to install and play GalCiv2 once again. I installed GalCiv2; DA and TA through impulse. The game ran fine until I waited after the cinematic or if I ended the cinematic early - the game crashed. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. The debug is below: Debug Message: Version v2.03 Twilight of the Arnor last updated on: Thu Jul 23 11:47:38 2009 Debug M
My country would be on a large island on an unpopulated planet (where there are no damages like there is on this planet). The island would be somewhere between the equator and the south of the planet - so it'd have a Mediterranean climate. The society would focus largely on the science and technological aspects of the universe - however, also emphasizing on the spiritual/self-confidence area of the mind. The power would run mainly on environmentally friendly power sources (i.e. thermal). It woul
Stardock, I hereby give you what you deserve! [i]/Salute
Hmm. It seems the Stardock client isn't acknowledging that there is an update - my TA is still beta 3a. =/ Any fixes? I've refreshed XML, changed severs and restarted Stardock.
What is the build number for this beta version? My build is 0.86.003 =/
A-bump.
I'm not exactly sure if I'm posting this in the right section (couldn't find a Twilight of the Arnor section), so excuse me if I am. I had a recent idea as I was using terror stars in TA, and I was wondering if we could use a smaller version of a terror star, which could be used to hit individual planets? Instead of destroying whole solar systems, you can destroy individual planets (whether class 0 to get some use out of them, or enemy planets to destroy 'em). They would bebuil
Stardock. I love you. xD

Hmm. I'm not sure it's how many technologies you researched - I think it's more how much your research output is. As it seems that whenever I put my research up high, the quarterly report shows a higher rating than when military/social production is the main focus. However, I'm no expert. So as Willythemainlyboy has put, it's best if someone who definitely knows for sure to jump in. I've had Galciv for a while.. but I'm still a newbie. > Joshwaa.
Hehe. I moved the "Tactical Map Zoom Level" slider to 50. Previously it was on 100 - thinking it would add more detail/smoothness in zooming. > Ahh, don;t fix what ain't broke. Thanks for the fast response Joshwaa.
To summarize, I think people essentially worshiping the game is pathetic. It's just over rated.
But.. but surely worshiping the Gods at Stardock isn't pathetic?
Hmm, the image seems to have not appeared Here is the direct link: http://img249.imageshack.us/my.php?image=taproblemhk2.png I'll try and get the image working on here somehow. I'll go and look at the image postingg uide.. again. Joshwaa.
As you can see from the above image, every time I zoom in the planets, ships, and other images do not appear. Instead, it's just the images you receive when you zoom out of the map. I'm current using: Vista Ultimate (32 bit) AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ 20.1 GHz. 3071 RAM. All setting are set at "high", heightmaps and mdos have both been enabled and disabled. The mod is KHSM
Wow. Glad pre-ordered it now! Now I just need to know how to fast forward time... Anyone got a time machine lieing around?
I agree with Kzinti, nicely written. I'm going to bookmark this, because this story seems interesting... [[Bookmarked]]
Great AAR It has been bookmarked. - Joshwaa
Seems that I'm going to have to upgrade my 7300 GS video card Ahwell, it's about time it needed an upgrade anyway. TA sounds great.. I'm going to pre-order it. Obviously.
I'm sure we wont have to use SDC soon, as I've heard that Stardock are in the middle of reating a TotalGaming.net program to auto-update just the games you have, and not give you any demos/other program offers like in SDC. I know this doesn't help the people who cannot afford or canot get broadband/the interent for any reason, but it helps those people who hav broadband and dislike SDC. Joshwaa
Okay, this kinda sounds stupid but, I can't seem to find the program after I've installed it on Vista. -_- What is it's directory?
Wrong topic. x.x

Through various articles and some science-fiction television shows, there has be a mention of the theoretical accomplishment of "ascension", a higher plane of existence composed of pure energy. Do you think this is possible? I do. If we spread out beyond the stars, or evolve fast enough, our minds will heighten in capability and our bodies will, biologically, become much more supreme. Only then, can we, either by machine or our minds, shed our bodies and become pure energy - becoming one of
