some people don't have medals under their names for various reasons ie either they've never played a Metaverse game, or if they have, but never selected a character to highlight. I also knew that during some of the forum updates, that Internet Explorer users were unable to see medals under any user name; I am unsure of if that has been resolved or not. Is that what you were asking jpinard?

@Random50: well, thats not entirely true. it depends on how many worlds you have also. Sure one world out of 500 won't matter much, but if you only have three worlds, it may matter quite a bit. Also, very low morale worlds have a pretty decent chance of rebelling or flipping, which is definitely not a good thing. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that if one decides to use the farm bonuses, make sure that you fully aware of what you are going into.

A Cassowary is a flightless bird too, but I wouldn't call it dumb or or it may attack you with its 5 inch (120cm) long middle 'dagger'-like center claw and do some serious damage. (its also the largest land animal in Australia :p )

MCC is shorthand for the Mind Control Center. You saw (and responded) to my post on what was wrong before and now with the MCC (its missing the AbilityType line). In [I]all[/I] versions of GalCivII the MCC does not work correctly; however, due to it having a AbilityBonus of 100 it does provide a 100% economic bonus in DL and DA (due to the game engine defaulting to the first ability, which is economics). Silverbeacher's Personal Fix-It Wish List 1.) Fix the MCC 2.) Add option in diplomacy screen to have AI break current Alliances/Treaties/Trade (this would be a MAJOR plus, and just awesome strategy wise) 3.) Clean up work on flavor text, descriptions, and other such miscellanea. 4.) Decouple sliders OR combine military/social slider into one. 5.) Update graphics for older structures such as the Starport, which look dated when next to the new tile sets

You could make the AbilityType to be Influence but I am not sure how much functionality that will return to the MCC. I have some training to do today at a new job, but I will try some testing

it does appear that Medals functionality has not been returned in Internet Explorer as of yet. That being said, FF users should see them fine if they clear out their cache, and possibly restart their computer. I didn't have to do those steps myself but other people may have differing settings than me.

yes, if we were to do it ourselves it would raise the cheat flags. For testing purposes, I added the "AbilityType" line (went with Defense since I knew that number off the top of my head) and sure enough in game (Sandbox of course) it now came up with 100% Defense Bonus AND it would show that bonus in the description. In other words, ALL you have to do is add the AbilityType line. That's it. Five minutes. Tops.
