Added a new Senator today to the Olympian Gods...managed to get Zeus on board with 128,800pts. That is just a preliminary score as I ended the game just to see roughly where I was at; I haven't maxed out any of my score factors (economy, military, population); I am guessing I should be able to at least double the score once I'm done. sooo...I've decided generally not to participate in any of these lil councils/senates/federations/alliances et al. for many reasons; they don't really do anything for me to enhance my game, but if other people find them fun, so be it. that being said...the GalCiv forums have mostly been known to be friendly, inviting, and above the trolling (generally, we've definitely have had our share too...I can think of one particularly lovely individual that just loved nitpicking Frogboy). <

Good Job Motti, still a very good game; can't say that I didn't wish you were in the OG instead :p Mumblefratz has the current highest scored legal game at 957,500pts. That was played on DL. Technically, DA has the higher scoring potential (due to increased number of worlds) but no one's pulled that off yet. Also he had a confluence of luck such as an extended Economic Prosperity event; which aren't always present in every game.

ok...keep us updated...from what i'm aware of, you are still able to complete the mandatory 4 games for this round however? Once this round ends and we get into the Draft, we'll have a much better picture of where we stand and where we can go from there.

sorry you won't be with us next round, but we'll keep a spot warm for you. As to the quake my Facebook status even reads Dys: "All those Californians must be laughing at the Midwest for freaking out over a little 5.2" i woke up, thought it was the wind (its been very windy here lately, and I'm in Tornado Alley so its not unheard of), saw that my blinds weren't moving (window is open), figured out it was a quake, was like "sweet!" and went right back to sleep

@CantinaFly: You can see that its not the civ capital because its population limit is only 6 billion. Also, Brad called it "Arcean main world", not capital, unlike how he named the others. My guess is that this was an example of how the Arceans are finally utilizing the navigation centers.

if you get a chance, try building at least one attack vessel (so not a cargo hull/specialized ship); i seem to recall being able to get some kind of military score before; I musta had an attack ship of some kind.

To my fellow players in the Midwestern US: Sorry for causing all the shaking and rumbling last night that you felt, but its Grand Prix week here at Purdue, and I was having a grand old time; and really, can you blame me? I mean, trust me, it was worth it

Clarification: Terraforming Tile: The Yellow, Orange, or Red tiles that require a tech to be available to you Bonus Tile: A tile that has an icon on it such as the 100% Manufacturing Bonus Under the Neutral Alignment, once Xeno Ethics has been researched, all existing terraforming tiles are automatically upgraded provided you have the requisite technology (ie all Yellow Soil Enhancement tiles would be upgraded once you research Soil Enhancement) Any low-P

Unless they've finally fixed it in TA, for a long time, rings made no difference to research bonuses. You could have picked an ethical event choice screen that would increase that planet's production level. Other things to know about Planet Quality Lower class worlds have a growth limit that they will not grow beyond. For example, a Class 3 world has a limit of 1.32Billion Everything Class 11 and higher receives a Morale Bonus for being a high quality plane

Welcome Dave (Dsep) to the MVL! I have randomly assigned you to Team B, the Bladerunners. MarshallONeil is your team captain. I am not fully sure what private threads the Bladerunners are using as we are currently in a transitional phase of most teams moving to the Tyranny of Evil forums from formerly being located at the Galactic Core. One of your teammates will have to let you know that one. In some ways you came in at a weird time for a player because at the end of this

I'll be sending an invite right now, it would be nice to have you Jeff. Also, in other news...while playing my Gigantic Map tonight, I can proudly say that I have a military ratio of 1001 : 1 yes, that is One Zero Zero One. Needless to say, I believe that walking all over the AI is not out of the question

its easy as pie!!! here, just check out our welcome thread that can be found here, it should answer most, if not all, of your questions: [link="https://forums.galciv2.com/157225"]The Metaverse League[/link] The League is specially designed for the casual player, and to learn new techniques. It does not require a huge time commitment or in-depth knowledge of the game. Currently it supports both DL and DA, and once TA is fully MV compatible, it will incorporate that also. <b

I thought the Emperor dissolved the Galactic Senate shortly after the arrest of Senator Leia Organa of Alderaan. :D

As a friendly reminder, please remember to check the starting conditions (ie the Round criteria) before playing your game.

LOL, you mean Madagascar? And besides, I always hate those damn Brazilians or Europeans thinking they can march in and take my continent away any time they want.

in TA, as in DA, it is still under Xeno Biology--->Extreme Colonization--->Planet Extreme Type 1---->Planet Extreme Type II Note that they are very expensive technologies. Most newer players to the game, or making the exchange from Dread Lords to Dark Avatar/Twilight make the mistake of thinking they need to rush to these techs right off the bat to beat the AI to them. Not so. In general, even at the highest difficulty levels, you usually have at least a year before the AI will start

very interesting Mag...I would never have thought of using the Pol. Capital, but yeah, since you're really only using one world (or only one that actually matters) that makes a lot of sense. Though, if I did have the money, I'd probably still grab Ethics, even if its for the Good alignments free maintenance.

lol, well there's only 3 of the 4 victory conditions even remotely possible in a 0yr win. And of those, two are incredibly difficult to achieve...so I would take it that means a conquest victory. Which...can be done, but against 5 opponents, and having to use PI (since SAs were disabled) isn't exactly easy. So in any case, if you managed it, kudos to you.
